Former Allan Hatcher assistant at Graves, then three years as head coach at Webster County (38-44) and two years at Lyon County (32-24). Then two seasons as assistant @ Hoptown then two more at Mason County.

Not sure about the team being picked before tryouts. Last year Aaron Wilson made the team coming out of the weakest district in the 1st Region on a team that went 8-13. Not sure many folks knew about him across the state. He did some good things that the coaches felt could help the KY team and he was selected.
