Everytime this comes up I have to tell my story.
I had an American Bulldog, beautiful, amazing animal. Had her from 6 weeks old. Spoiled rotten, babied, trained dog. Spent almost 3 thousand dollars training this thing.
3 years old, she jumps our side yard fence, mauls the mail man. Blood all over my front porch. Gave her a pass, b/c he admitted he put his hand over the fence to pet her, and she took that as him coming in her space.
2 months later, we are having a party at our house. 30 people standing around. She walks in to the dining room, completely unprovoked and rips my brother in laws arm from elbow to wrist open. No reason, he's standing there with a beer eating chips.
They are simply, aggressive, easily triggered beasts who have the capability to destroy just about anyone or anything in their path.
And this is coming from someone who had one, thinks they are BEAUTIFUL, amazing animals.
They should just NEVER be trusted or alone with children.
