I think if you look close enough you will find the problems stem from the feeder programs. Every where you look these coaches are teaching plays and presses to kids who can't shoot or dribble. Kids are also shooting 3's at too early of an age even if they have to shoot it from their knees. Almost every team used to have at least a couple of great shooters,not so much anymore. Who were the last great shooters that didn;t have to be wide open at Ashland and Boyd ?

Did he tell you that he put his best player back in in the 4th quarter, who then proceded to try to pick a fight with a 12 year old. She then glared her down while shaking hands. I was not going to give her the oppurtunity to bully her again. Rose Hill Girls pray every game win or lose. I'm not going to let anyone bully one of our girls.

When 2 top twenty teams play the coaches should do what they want , including pressing when your down by 30.

Are you sure you were at that game ? It was in the opening round not the finals.

West Carter was ranked in the top 20 in the state that year also. What happens between 2 good teams with the starters playing happens, it's a little different situation don't you think?

I can promise you this.When the shoe is on the other foot you won't see me playing starters when the other team pulls theirs. If you didn't get to feed your ego when you played maybe you have to do it through coaching,I would'nt know. Our kids have their heads up high and thats all that matters to me.

Rose Hill never pounded weak teams and we never played starters other than to handle the ball with instructions to pass not shoot in blowouts.

Let it go guys. This will come back around in a couple of years. Yes they scored 40 plus against middle schoolers but our middle schoolers scored 15 against mostly starters,so who gained from that ?

I heard from a source really close to Bowling that he quit today over playing time. I agree they could have used him tonite. Not much production from the Tomcat guards.

Everyone else is in grades 7 thru 9.

Scott Gambill was the x-factor tonite,especially in the first half. He had 13 at last count. I don't know what he ended up with but he was the difference tonite!
