Jtown and Manual won't be pushovers.

Only pointing out the owning part. Even though Jenkins led Manual to a win over Fayette and went for 28 points against 6-6 Noel Johnson who had 17 (was averaging nearly 36 points for the tourney before that), I wouldn't say Jenkins "owned" Noel Johnson who is a top 50 recruit in the country for 09 and heading to USC. Jenkins even hit 4 straight 3's with one of those in the last seconds to send it to OT. Its just not owning a player, but having a good game. Jackson played his heart out against Manual. Gave it all he had and even played 31 minutes of the entire 32 minute game. Without him on the floor, it would have been much worse. Jackson literaly had to do it all.

Good point. And Ethan was in my top 10 too. He's a very good point and one of the best in the state. Jenkins was lucky to be playing at all with a bad lower back, but the rub down, pad, and meds helped him take the court. Was just responding to owning someone. Jackson and Euton did split with EC and Manual and Jenkins didn't struggle with RH during the season. Its all relevant. Still all players mentioned are talented and will have good seasons coming up.

Don't know about owning anyone, but there was one common opponant during the season. Rose Hill went 1 and 1 against Elliott County last year with EC winning by 7 or 11 points, or close to that. Manual did face Rose Hill and Manual won by close to 30 and called off the dogs in the 3rd qtr. Euton finished with 8 points. Jenkins went for 18 in 19 minutes of playing time. You can interpret any way you wish.

Kimbro is a slender 6-5 and Jenkins is 6-4 and has muscled up some. Both are long with Kimbro having a wide wingspan. Ricardo's brother will come into his own in due time with hard work. Even brothers will develop at different times. Some players come out of their shells as sophs and others as Seniors. It will happen. It would be fun watching Manual pair off against Holmes. Pittman, Johnson, Riley, and one or two others from Holmes played together with Jenkins on the same team quite a bit this summer. All are good kids.

It's tough to draw a direct comparison to any of them since each player for Holmes is uniquely talented. If I had to throw out some comparisons it would be Kimbro and Pittman. Same body types and similar abilities in rebounding and scoring around the basket. I would say the main difference is Kimbro is better suited out on the perimeter as Pittman is in the paint and baseline in terms of skills set. Then I would go with R. Johnson and Jenkins. Jenkins is a pure 2G and can post up guards as Johnson is a G/F who can play a midrange game and mix it up in the paint and play out on the perimeter. I think there is going to be some surprises in Jenkins' game as he will get it to the hole more often and score and it won't just being laying it up over the cylinder either, but rather he will be throwing it down with improved hops. Johnson is just now starting to untap his potential and so is Pittman. Some great duos in the state and Holmes and Manual share two of the state's top pairs.

The one is not much different than the four on Holmes offense. Riley will get his shots from the point just as he would anywhere. Housley makes it tough to press with him in Riley.

Riley is the point and the motor that makes them go. I don't see him coming off the floor much.

Every top team in the 7th has strong guard play and Male does too. 5-11 Kevin Glenn and 5-10 D'Carlos Hayes are one of the top guard duos in the state.

I would like to cast my vote for Hatton. Great player and possesses strong skill sets for a wing guard and plays with intensity.

Some interesting team rankings and player rankings. Mason County is picked to win the 10th region was one of the more interesting ones.

Fairdale IS that good. They have senior leadership at the point in Mack, a talented scorer in Morris, and Stroud is one of the top young players in Louisville and they have a super coach in Longacre who has led Fairdale to Rupp two years ago. They are the favorites to win the 6th region which is still one of the top five regions in the state. PRP loses a ton of talent including Delph, Decker, and big Al Murray, but look solid during the summer. Coach Marbrey has won over 700 games and will find a way to win. Iroquois is a top team and is picked 2nd in the region. They have some outstanding guards and the top player in the region with Donovan Gibbs. Iroquois and Fairdale both can hold a spot in the top 20 now and Central and PRP could find their place their again too. And you cannot count out DeSales either. They lose Mullaney and Cutsinger, but they always seem to be playing on Saturday for the regional title.

I guess my point was since Doss had lost several games by 30+, I could not understand how FC lost to them. It doesn't matter at this point. FC should build on last year's success. Do you know what tourneys FC will play in?

It was definately summer ball. It was a fun game to watch from start to finish. Nevertheless, FC had a good season last year and should be improved this year.

And this year winning the 7th region will be tougher than winning a state tourney. You might have to beat 3 top 10 teams in 3 days just to get to Rupp. The LIT is tougher than the state tourney too. How many teams last season defeated 3 top 15 teams back-to-back-to-back in 3 days? By the way, I really the like PSU logo. Joe Pa is a living legend and will go down as one of the greatest coaches in the history of sports.
