Good luck to GC I hope you win every game on the schedule. District is always wide open as none of the teams are great, and it's about time you started beating that school down 23 because you are the bigger school and should beat them more often than not.

I agree LCA's facilities are the best in all single A. Even though Raceland had a good run against LCA for a couple of years, year in and year out no team in that district will compete with LCA because they will continue to get players. If you haven't gotten a chance to see the field, weightroom, school, etc. go look at it unbelievable! They have the most experienced, and talented team coming back in single A so they should be the favorites.

With all due respect everyone works hard in the offseason, it comes down to who has the better players. Working hard in the offseason is a standard requirement now for all football programs. Raceland is one of numerous programs that has a great off season program. I have to admit though you must have it bad for the Rams, to post about high school off season program hahaha only kidding.

Good job Boyd on the win, Fairview played hard tonight as it was a good game all the way around. I actually think Fairview has better skill just didn't play the best. Just from what I saw Boyd made several nice plays on Jones, but Fairview was it's own worse enemy with offsides, kicking, and turnovers. For a 4A vs 1A game it was sure a dandy, normally 4A schools should dominate.

I think Fairview is lucky to have Coach McPeek and the rest of the staff. I have seen Fairview throughout the years along with area teams and have really noticed the fundamentals improve dramatically over the season under Coach McPeek. I don't know if you can win a state championship at Fairview but I don't think Fairview will ever be a bottom feeder anymore like years past.

I think he is a great player, but somewhere like EKU or an NAIA school would be a great place for him to go. They need linemen and he could play right away. He isn't as a big as Coach Maynard which went to UK, and Nate McPeek who went to Marshall so he may not be quite to that level of D1. I wish him the best, and good luck to you Robbie and the Rams in the postseason.

Coach McPeek was at Boyd for a few seasons, but no other members of the Fairview staff coached with Evans. I think Boyd County has a great coaching staff, and while young I think Fairview does as well. Other than Coach Vanderhoof at Raceland I think Coach McPeek is deserving of area coach of the year. For them to be 7-2 at this point is a great accomplishment.

I agree the district has to go prove it in the playoffs. I believe it's the best district in single A, Fairview has a huge game next week against Boyd County.

Ashland simply can't line up against Johnson Central not good enough.

It wouldn't have mattered what Ashland practiced in, I bet the Ashland coaches knew they couldn't line up against Johnson Central. Ashland is much improved but nowhere near the level of Johnson Central.

I agree this district is horrible, I mean Greenup Co. is going to host a playoff game and they aren't even close to being average. You have to play whoever the state places in your district and I understand that but still worse district I have ever seen.

LCA is a great football team, I don't think the Eagles win tonight but I don't think it will be a blow out unless Fairview turns the ball over. I will say LCA 42 Fairview 35 in a high scoring contest. Too bad one of these teams has to play on the road 1st round of playoffs.

That night should be a huge crowd at Fairview, because both Ashland and Russell are off that night. It should be one heck of a football game, Fairview would have nothing to lose and all to gain. In my opinion Boyd County is the only one with pressure, bigger school and is supposed to win.

That could be said for anyone in any district, Beechwood is more dominant than any team in any district.

Matt Jones 175 Yards on 15 carries, and 81 Yard KO return for TD. Fairview is 6-1 I bet nobody thought they would be at this point.

Fairview has to play their schedule to the best of their ability, before the season NO ONE was saying Fairview will be 5-1 at this point. I think Coach McPeek and the Eagles have done a great job so far. You guys need to realize they are one of the smallest schools in the state, they play people they think they compete with. A school like East Carter which isn't very good this season has triple the amount of kids, yet they went out on the field and destroyed the Raiders. We could say the schedule is weak for so many teams. I agree though this week will tell alot about both teams.

Woodford has great athletes but no clue how to defend anyone. It looked like they didn't even practice defense. Congrads Ashland
