Another thing not to take anything away from Newport because they played a good game was the fact that St. Henry lost Carroll for the whole second half due to injury. But the St. Henry kids played hard to the end, but have to wonder if his offense and defensive present would have helped the CRU down the stretch. Both these teams will be making some noise come tournament time.

It looked to me like he hit the rim and basket when he blocked it. But that was hours ago. Was nice hustle play though but thought I saw the basket and rim get hit.

Bessler and Carroll for St.Henry should get some consideration, maybe not top 5 but should be considered for this group of 20

Good game last night, very hard fought game Crusaders played a very good Man to Man D last night alot better than 1 2 2 zone they played in the first half. Newport ate them up in that zone. Good win for Newport.

Coach Faust will have the CRU ready and Newport is having a great year so far and played well as a team. Which players have to come up big for these two teams for them to win which I believe should be a very close game.

Good win for the CRU after very tough overtime win over Boone. The 4th quarter lineup that came out for them looked real good and really wore out Villa in the end. Go luck against Newport in the " ALL A".

Agreed, I think its a discipline thing for past mistakes with him with emotions. He can shoot lights out and the other players respond to him as well. I think he should get more playing time and maybe he will, but that come downs to Coach Faust and Brian Carroll. I think he deserves the chance to help this team more than he is getting also. I agree about the refs also, and yes coach Faust had a great game plan as usual, but lets give the kids the credit here on this win also. Bessler great job driving to the basket and taking it at the Rebels big men. Anderson clutch hitting free throws and rebounding. Barnett first half play kept the CRU in the game. Jake Hils shut down defense and being the floor genreal for the CRU. Brian Carroll limited minutes coming off the bench and delivering the knock out blows at the end of the game. If Carroll starts to get more minutes the Crusaders become a very dangerous team. And then you have Alex Thorburn in my opinion the unsung hero for St.Henry he does his job he battles and plays down low every game along with Danny Siefried (sp) every game giving quality minutes. So hats off to these young men on a big win and to the rest of the young men on this team. You guys wanted it more last night and you deserved to win. Good luck in the Class A.

Game is at St. Henry tonight. Will the Crusaders suffer a letdown after upset win of Boone? Or will the Crusaders even their record in the 34th District to 1-1?

Mikey fouled out in overtime I believe, played very well, but it was like Boone guards did not want to or were told not take outside shots last night. I agree he has to get more looks.

Very nice win for St.Henry. The crowd was fun, the wave was great. Both teams played very hard. Balance scoring by St.Henry is nice to see also. Boone has talented guards but they did not shoot from the outside I think Gabbard took only 2 shots the whole game big time player he has to get more looks. Now the question to think about for St. Henry fans and people who saw the game. If Ben Bessler does not foul out does Carroll get off the pine to bring them back in the last 1:30 and in overtime or does he sit ? If he sits is there a different ending to this game? Maybe? Maybe not, the refs made some calls on both sides of the ball that left you thinking what game were they watching,but luckly none of them changed the game. Or did a foul call actually make the difference in the game. Fun game to watch big upset yes. Congrats to the CRU

Holmes by 7. Ricardo is really on his game right now, and the rest of the team is responding well to his leadership and also playing some good basketall.

If St.Henry plays like they did against Cov. Cath they will be in it. But that being said they have not had a game like that since then. First 5 minutes of the game will be interesting to see how St. Henry comes out. If Boone gets on them early it will be a long night for St.Henry. Coach Faust will need his team to be almost perfect in this game.

Even without those two Boone has the height advantage with Montgomery, Brown and Cotton.

St. Henry needs to find their offense or it will be a very long night. Boone will have the size advantage.
