To me I guess to say we are the best overall. I am sure Highlands would jump right in, St X and Trinity can be beat. Maybe the 2 need to be split up and create 4 schools.

I know the KHSAA has a new 6 class alignment and no one is allowed to play up. But what if they still had 6 classes and a SUPER CLASS of 16. Who would they be and whoever won it would obviously be the ENTIRE STATE CHAMPION. you can have 4 districts with them playing each other and a few non-dist games. At teh end do it like the sweet 16 and seed all 16 teams and play their own playoff. Trinity ST. Looks like Johnson Cent better find another scrimmage. Whitley is done with theirs now. It is a long time till opening day w/o a scrimmage.

I would hate to think my parents would tell me I was going to lose, why go then. Also the facilities are not any better at Southern, at least we have bleachers on the visitor side that you can see from. Plus our coaches are a big difference, they always had us prepared and ready to play, so if players are the same then something is wrong with Southern. Dont blame it on parents telling their kids they are going to lose. Blame it on your coaches

Rockcastle had a down season last year? 6-6 and from what I understand they were lucky to get that. Coach Larkey and Coach Saylor always had the kids prepared, it isnt their fault they had to start a bunch of young kids, go through injuries, and have a slow team with no backups. With the schedule played I would say after watching them about 8 times last year, 6-6 was a winning season. I am sure some teams like Madison southern would like to have that. Back to winning state, I think the kids goal should be win state, if not why even play then if yor goal isnt the most it can be. Do college teams play in hope of reaching a bowl or being competitive. There should be pressure to win also on kids and coaches. This years team should be very good and to go 6-6 would be a let down because almost everyone is back from last years team and last years team when they lost was close and was close to being an 8-2 season. So yes, this years team should win and win often, if not I will be shocked. Halfback 20 is right, they should have the goal to win state. Every team should have that goal. By the way how has spring ball been so far, are there any practices left or did they get all of them in?

Be honest, can Southern break the Rockcastle jinx. Two new head coaches and Southern has never won. Where will the game be played this year.

Wow the Rock looks loaded. This is not even with Abney, Thacker, or the QB, Bishop. I say the Rock has some more kids I cant think of right off the bat that can play and got time last year. Looks like the future is good for Rockcastle. I would lke to think that we can beat at least 7 or 8 teams on our schedule, at least I think we should since we played so close last year to most of them and we have most of our players back. I heard Dackery and Chris arent coaching this year, is this true? Can ThreeWishes let us know?

To anyone who knows, how has spring practice been for the last 2 days? Any suprise players or new players. Are the baseball kids going throgh the drills also? Any news to report at all?

Wow so much information. I guess Rockcastle can now start spring football practice. Keep us fans informed rockcastle raider of how everything is going. I guess you are the one in the know with your sources.Will any baseball players get to practice this year in spring ball since there is a new coach and new things to learn?

I have been out of the know for a month because of work and travel and was wondering how the team is looking for this year. Are players still lifting good and what about 40 times. Is spring ball soon, heck I dont even know if the girls are still playing or not. Can Rockcastleraider or three wishes let us know what is going on so far. Any news from Coach Larkey in Harlan or how he team is looking? Has Perkins decide to play?

Two new coaches at Rockcastle and Southern. Can Southern break the winning streak against Rockcastle? the game this year will be interesting. It will be hard to beat the Rockets IMO. I never see Southern being able to beat Rockcastle, not sur ehow many in a row Rockcaslte has over Southern, do know Southern has NEVER beat Rockcastle.:banana:

I know Rockcastle has always played alot both ways, so I figured with the loss of the 5 seniors and Perkins early in the season then Rockcastle should still have plenty of experiance back somewhere. I know all 5 seniors played def and 4 on offense. This still leaves 6 starters back on def and 7 on off. Maybe I am wrong in thinking we are going to be good this year. But I still think these kids will win at least 8 games

When does spring practice begin? I know if it snows there like it is here in lexington then there wont be a spring practice. I almost didnt think I was getting out of Dicks Sporting goods at the mall. There is alot of snow here in lexington. I would like to get to at least one practive this spring and see how they are going to look.

Why now does everyone seem to think this year wont be a success. We only lost 5 seniors adn Perkins probably wont play, Mchone will though. There is a load of experiance coming back. Rockcastle may not win the state but we should play every team to the wire. How many kids does Rockcaslte have out right now?

Do you think the players respect McCreary Central? I bet not. All I am saying is that rockcastle should beat PC. Why? I feel our kids are tougher and more experienced. I also feel they will want to win more becasue it means more to Rockcastle.

As a former player, Rockcastle is expected to win. dont get to caught up on Pulaski having starters back either. I bet if Rockcastle played Pulaski last year Rockcastle would have won. Rockcastle has stopped players a lot better than Hines, he is a good HS back, not great. you and Pulaski will find this out week one.

Sounds like they definetly need an outsider to come coach. It seems some want one from Central and some from Southern. Someone is going to be upset. Why not get an outside and let them pick a staff and keep everyone happy. If neither side gets their choice, then neither can say what could have been. It isnt always the best idea to get someone in the program, maybe there is someone better suited for the job and will dd a great job of turning them around to the glory days. Becasue this is whatr will happen if either person mentioned get the job. See caption below. :argue:

No passing and all running is what I have heard of Pulaski offense. No pass and all run = defeat in the first game. Rockcastle will not let Pulaski run the ball. All Rockcaslte fans feel this is a win, not only because of name, but Rockcastle has a ton of experiance back and returns almost the whole team

I expect Rockcastle to beat Pulaski. I was born here and raised here, Pulaski got drilled by Lincoln, we could have won, a very close game. I do expect great things from this team. Tell me what has Pulaski ever done to get any respect from Rockcastle. One good team and now they are contenders, I doubt it.

As a fan you should expect us to win against Pulaski. I think it will be a huge dissapointment if Rockcastle loses this game. Any true fan knows Pulaski will have a good team, but they also know Rockcastle will be loaded and expected to win. A lot of people I have talked to feels that if Rockcastle should win at least 8 games.

Why would Parkey interview, he is the coach at Rockcastle now?

Why should Rockcastle respect Pulaski, not being disrespectful but what has Pulsaki ever done? Pulaski has one good season and now all of a sudden they are great and think of themselves as Rockcastle. I personally think no one in rockcaslte will give Pulaski much respect becasue they havent accomplished what Rockcastle has. I thnk they even won 1 game a few years back, no district titles or region titles. Sorry but I realy think Rockcastle fans will be upset if they lose to Pulaski because it is Pulaski and they are not known for football, but basketball.

From what I have always been told, Dustin Bishop has all of the tools to be a great QB, smart, pretty good speed, big, and strong arm. I see no reason why Rockcastle wont be successful this year and win 9 or 10 games. This team is loaded with experience and will be next year also. There is lots of speed this year and skill to go with it.. The defense will be very dominate. As for what system Rockcastle is going to run is a mystery, What type of offense did Caoch Parkey run in middle school. I believe Caoch Larkey always called the plays so I doubt many people know what type of offense Rockcastle will run. As far as Pulaski goes, Rockcastle will win because when Pulaski see Rockcastle on the jersays, they will have fear set in and lay down before the game begins. :thumb:
