I agree, loyality is something you have to learn at an early age, you can't just get up and move when things get tough in real life, at least not without serious consequences.

Depending on what Matt and Chris want to do, we may have a meet and greet at Greenbo in the conference facilities with appetizers and drinks. We will invite the team, parents, boosters, media and all the supporters of the program. Danny Wright is working on this for us and we will let you know when that date is set. This is all according to what Matt and Chris want to do of course.

We are going to get these kids out like Mike Hampton, Dustin L, and all the other talent we have walking the halls. This year is going to be one to work hard and take some lumps but we will win some games but watch out for next year, the future is bright at GCHS! Matt or David would make a good QB, Crum is going to go out in the QB slot too, maybe Waugh...

Matt and Chris will formally announce Coach Copley sometime next week and we are going to try and get him down here ASAP. This is some information I got from a very solid anonymous source, "Some assistant coaches will be hired a little later due to timelines dealing with budget cuts, etc..... but there will be teaching positions open for assistant coaches.... Essentially, Younce wouldn't pink-slip all non-tenured teachers, so Baker had trouble hiring assistants for Sammons, but Hughes is going to pink-slip all non-tenured teachers... so this means that even though budget cuts are coming down that there will be teaching positions open for assistant coaches... Also, the new weight equipment and weight room may be in place much sooner than initially thought.... Copley is a weight room fanatic..... those kids better be ready to bust their butts.... things are looking up for GC football a lot will be happening in the next 2-3 months" This is a direct quote from a very good solid source that wants to be kept anonymous. What a great hire for GCHS. This coach is intense, comes highly recommended from the KHSAA's office, relates very well to the players and knows the ins and outs of the game. I can't get that information, I had another source tell me today that they may still be looking and interviewing another coach, someone on the site base council told me this, they like Copley but it is not official that he has the job as of yet.

No it has not been officially announced as of yet, so anything could happen but he is the one that has the nod currently and he does want the job. It is my understanding he is going to bring two coaches with him and he is going to talk to the coaches that are with the program currently, tell them his objectives and expectations and then make a decision afterwards on what he needs to make the program successful. The BOE has stated that they will support the hiring of more assistant coaches for our program at GCHS if justified and within reason.

Copley wants to be involved at every level and throughout the community.

Exactly what he runs and how it works, tough to stop.

He is bringing two coaches with him and he also expects his coaches to work at least 15 hours on the weekends and that is at the minimum.

And he was Chuke Williams Assistant at Lawrence County.

Fraley - GCHS - will be there, he came in a tough situation and I believe will turn the program around.

Things happened outside the program that upset the political landscape.

Also an assistant at Lawrence County when they were tough under Chuke Williams, ran that Belly series..

This has nothing to do with Athletics, leave the family alone, for the kid's sake, it will all eventually come out and it has nothing to do with athletics, we need not to discuss this on this forum.

I agree we do need some leadership and organization, I think that will come when we hire our new coach.

I agree as well... There is a lot more to it than what is being discussed in this forum and this forum is not the place to discuss such...
