Can someone tell me where the rankings on here come from? Are they done by the BGP Admin? I'm not criticizing them, just wondering where they come from. Thanks

Well you can even ask the people from Corbin about that one, and the Lincoln County one wasn't an excuse, as it says, "we probably would have lost anyway", and were you at either game? JW. We got outplayed in LC. BTW what does the 2nd quote have to do with this?

bell alumni is saying that nearly every official in the world calls this a walk. I agree with him. He's asking why, according to what you're saying, all these officials who are supposed to know the rules just don't know this one. Almost every referee in basketball would call this a walk, so is this just a common mistake by officials also?:sssh:

The Indians will head over to Lexington on Tuesday to play one of the top teams in the state, Lexington Catholic. The game is scheduled to start at 7:30. As much as I would love to predict an upset, I think MC would have to play a career game in order to beat the Knights, especially at home. I'll say LexCath by 10 or so unless something amazing happens. What's everyone else think?

I do too, I can't understand why anyone would want to be an official, they get no respect, get yelled at, criticized whether they make a good call or a bad call. Everyone lets them know when they mess up but never applaud them for the other 9/10 calls they made right. They don't do it for the money either, atleast not at the high school level, isn't it like $70 a game or something? NBA and NCAA referees do make some pretty good money though, I believe the SEC pays something like $1,200 a game. I am glad that there are people willing to do it, but I just couldn't see myself ever being one.

Don't you think if there was a team/player putting up amazing numbers that they would report them? I'd say the ones that don't report either don't want anyone to see them or they aren't good enough for them to care to take the time to report them. Any other thoughts?

I see this happening sometimes also. But you can't watch a replay on every single play, most of the time when it looks odd, it is a travel.

He might be an exception. As I said earlier, maybe they would score a lot of points against a tougher schedule.

Nope, off the top of my head, I couldn't tell you their exact schedule, I'm not much of a follower of Elliot County BBall. But I have looked at their schedule while hearing all the hype about them and every team they beat seemed like it was by atleast 20 or 30 points, I also know that most teams they played were EKY schools that aren't very good. And when they played Rose Hill they got beat? I've seen RH played and was not very impressed. I'm just saying that there's a good chance these players/teams wouldn't score near this many points if they played in the 6th, 7th, 9th, or 11th regions. I don't see how you can disagree with that either. IDK maybe it's just me......:confused:

Question for everyone, wouldn't the scenario that were talking about be the same reason why a player gets an extra step for a running shot, layup, or pass?

Doesn't anyone else realize that most of the players and teams who lead the scoring category are teams that don't play much good competition? I am in no way trying to discredit these teams or players, because, who knows, maybe they would score a lot against a tougher schedule also. But, I'm just saying that scoring a lot of points isn't always a good representation of how good a player/team is.

Seniors- Jordan Cash, Zach Butler, Blanton Farmer, Andrew Yeast, Michael Mahan, Lars King, Peter Meeks, Hunter Frazier, Bryan Jaska, Patrick Newcomb, Kyle Blackston, Cody Martin Juniors- Stuart Witt, Adam Herald, Travis Thompson, David Payne Sophomores- Justin Thomas, Hunter Stewart, Hager Collins Freshmen- Parker Paige, Kyle Congelton, Some of those might be in the wrong class but you get the point. I know there are many more great players across the bluegrass, so I apologize for whoever I forgot.

It's called a home court advantage for a reason, it's an advantage, but not a guarantee.
