Were those guys Mr. Basketball candidates? BC that's what he was referring to.

It will be tough to tag team Morris and Ford, that only leaves one defender for the other 3 guys on the court.

He plays defense kind of like he plays offense, when he wants to or feels like it. I've seen him play some amazing defense, blocking shots, steals, intercepting passes, and just creating turnovers. Then, I've also seen him watch his teammate get beat and just stand back and watch the opponent score. He does the same sort of thing on the offensive end of the floor, sometimes he'll score at will, literally, and sometimes he'll just stand around and pass. Not that this is a good excuse but I think sometimes it's hard for a kid like Hopson to play 100% the entire game when there isn't much challenge, no one else out there is even in his league. It makes me wonder if he played any harder during the summer playing AAU ball and at the camps he went to. He would have been playing against much better competition there. If that is the case, that he just needs some competition, then he could be scary good next year in college.

Don't forget about Patrick Ford, he has finally gotten out of football mode and starting to play some good basketball as of late. MC by 10

I'm pretty sure he's saying that he "should" be considered but doesn't think he will because his team is from EKY and doesn't play against the best competition in the state.

I've never seen him play, but I can assure you that being from EKY has nothing to do with why he won't win Mr. Basketball. First of all, there's Scotty Hopson and everyone else. Second, look at the schools that Miller, Mack, and Hopson are going to. Miller - UK. Mack - Butler (Top 15 team). Hopson - Wherever he wants. Not sure Where Henderson is going. But I can assure you that this kid is not in the same league as Hopson. Another thought to point out is that no one notices UHA point guard TyShawn Edmonson, due to the very large shadow that Hopson casts, but I think Edmonson could be mentioned as one of the top players in the state.

Here's a vote for Keyshawn Simpson from Madison Central. He has been hurt all year and hasn't played so it's hard to tell but he was a big key to our team last year. BTW, I saw him today and he's walking on his own, the crutches are gone. Hopefully he can come back for the postseason and help MC out.

Looking at their schedule from the beginning of the year, I highly doubt that their coach scheduled this game to be a cupcake win, he probably just wanted to see what all the hype was about EC. BTW, read MCPapa's comment above.......Still think Mason thought they would need wins badly?:lol:

Won't even be a game. The only reason I clicked the thread was bc it had so many posts, I couldn't figure out why so many ppl were debating this game. Mason by 25 or so, all depends on when they put the subs in.:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Yep, the only thing to look forward to is for everyone to realize that Elliot is not near as good as the hype around them.
