  1. Yea, but there are only about 4 or 5 teams doing the grabbing.
  2. Congratulations, Panthers. Be ready for the Class A.
  3. They have the most talent and the top player in the "A". Of course, they are the favorite. Don't count out Trimble at home.
  4. You are correct. The Lady Raiders got a descent draw and are playing at home. Losing to Anderson is no disgrace. The Lady Raiders have played a tough schedule. I know they have not won many games but we all know they have underachieved to this point. Winning the Class A could erase a lot of bad memories and make their season.
  5. I will take Walton at home in this one. I don't think the Lady Demons have an answer for Dixon inside and Hargett on the perimeter. I heard Trimble played well in their loss to Anderson so watch out for the Lady Raiders playing at home in that dark gym in the Class A.
  6. I would gladly have a son of mine play for Kyle Bennett regardless of his record. He has always had a competitive team when it come to the 8th region class A. Just my opinion.
  7. Congratulations on beating a hot Owen team. Walton Verona is the preseason favorite to win the Class A as voted on by the coaches. Best of luck.
  8. I hope she is okay. She seems like a really nice young lady.
  9. Williamstown is a much improved team over last year. They always give great effort.
  10. Congrats to Ashley and the Lady Panthers. Good luck in the Class A.
  11. Paris will not have any trouble winning this region at all.
  12. Don't count the Bearcats out. They have an excellent coach in Kyle Bennett and the pressure to win will be on Gallatin. The Bearcats are good enough to pull the upset. I really don't see it happening unless some stange things happen in the game however.
  13. This tournament is wide open with 5 of the 6 teams involved with a chance of winning. It is probably the most balanced it has been is several years. The bottom bracket is the toughest but you can't count out Williamstown and Gallatin from the top bracket. The Walton Verona /Carroll winner will have their hands full with Trimble playing them at home. There will a lot of games that come down to the last 3 minutes I would think. Good luck to all teams. It should be interesting.
  14. A lot of districts are using 3 person officiating crews in their district seed games for both boys and girls games. I have seen worse officiating out in the state than what goes on in the 8th and 9th regions. Some officials will let them play more than others. It's tough, but the kids have to see how the game is being called and make adjustments.
  15. Always good to hear about successes at the next level. Congratulations!
  16. Williamstown has a young team and an excellent coach so I would not want to count them out come tournament time. I think you could say the same about Grant County.
  17. The lighting at Henry is terrible. Original lights from whenever the gym was built.
  18. In the class a tournament, anything can happen. There is added pressure on the home team (Gallatin) to win it. They have to be a heavy favorite but as I said before ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN. Good luck to all teams. I hope whomever makes to Richmond goes all the way.:ylsuper:
  19. Grant County was coached by Bert Richey (an outstanding basketball mind)when they beat a very good Walton team coached by Luebbe. That loss surely did not have anything to do with Luebbe not returning I would think. The Grant County team and program has turned around thanks to Richey.
  20. It should be a good one. It depends on which Walton team shows up. IMO they have more talent but Grant plays hard.
  21. Although the LIT ratings have been around for years, I have had a lot trouble giving them the respect that they may deserve. I am glad that they are pretty much only used for conversations between fans with the exception of the LIT tournaments. I am glad I don't have a dog in that fight.
