Final score- Owen Co. 46 Trimble Co. 32. Anyone know what happened in this one? I expected a much tighter game.

It looks like Ludlow is on there way to a 20 win season. Are they for real?

Boys 8th is at Henry---girls' 8th region is at Shelby County this year.

Mark Wilhoit always has his kids playing hard regardless of who they are playing. He does an outstanding job.

Congratulations to Torie. That is quite an accomplishment for a freshman. It sounds as if it was a really competitive game. Congratulations to Grant County as well for the win.

Jackson County must be for real. Who are their top players? Any one worthy of all-state honors?

Carroll's kids seem to be working hard and will continue to get better in time. Tough times don't last; tough people do. Gallatin is a veteran ballclub that has big game tournament experience. The rematch in Carrollton should be interesting.

Jon Jones is a master motivator. He was not happy with his first half defense and must have really got their attention at halftime.

Devin Duvall is one of the sharpest young coaches in the 8th region. He knows how to get the best out of his kids. He has top notch assistant coaches as well. I look for him to bring some titles to Owenton in the near future.

Sounds as if Trimble is still struggling to find an identity. Oldham is pretty good from what I have heard, especially at home.

Owen looked pretty good but missed a lot of shots. Henry's young team (no seniors) did not play well on the road. Owen's strong defense had a lot to do with Henry not playing well.

Congratulations to Coach Jones and the Wildcats. They seem to have great team chemistry and are willing to share the ball. I was impressed.They look as if they will be a strong favorite in the 8th Region Class A (hosted by Gallatin) and the 31st district. The first 4 minutes of the second half was the difference.

Girdy's not the only one that plays defense for the Lady Panthers.

Seems like bad scheduling to have the school play on the same night the girls are playing their biggest rival. I bet they would not have done that if the boys were playing.

It seems that solid footwork and pivoting are missing from a lot of female basketball players. Is this not being taught at the elementary and middle school levels? I know officials have a hard time working games and determining what a travel is. It seem as if the officials call some travels, but sort of get away from calling them as the game goes on. Am I correct on this?

If you are a good freshman at a small school, you probably won't even suit up for freshman games, you will be spending all your time on the JV and/or the varsity. That's just the way it is.

Are they playing in the dungeon or the newer gym? OC is much better in the old gym. OC is so strong inside and has better guard play. They won't have much trouble with the Lady Raiders although I would love to see them pull off an upset.:banana:

This district match up will be a tough one. It is always hard to win in Warsaw. It will come down to the 4th quarter and the winner will be who executes the best down the stretch.

They will be different team with Crutcher---but they are still looking at the the number 4 seed in their district

I don't know the man personally, but sounds like the kind of coach you would want your kids to play for.
