  1. I honestly believe that if Newcath plays a full 4 quarters with minimal mistakes and zero turnovers this can be a two score win. But realistically speaking, Newcath will have at least two turnovers and a few miscues, especially on offense. With those mistakes, this will be a much tighter game. And if FC can take advantage and also play a low mistake game, they may be able to win by two scores. I think this will be one of the best games of the 6 championships being played this weekend. It will come down to whomever ends up in the + side of the turnover column. I do think the Breds are the better team; and theoretically, if both teams were to play a perfect game, the Breds would come out on top. But (and thats a huge BUT) how often does that actually happen?! Never. Good luck Breds, smart football wins this one
  2. part of the reason Coach Schneider had little success in the late 90's was because he kick some of his best player off the team due to bad off the field desitions. that says a lot about his morals to take those kids off the team knowing the team was going to struggle with out them. also i would never ever put Schneider and Mueller in the same category, i seriously doubt Dale Mueller's ethics are anywhere near Schneider's
  3. also what about the other asistance for Newcath: Faust and Eviston and Kneflin all great minds
  4. I agree with you about Coach Schneider giving up some of the responsibilities during a game, but I think he gets a bad rep. I hear a lot of people talk about how Coach S doesn't do anyhting anymore except add to his win total. I just can't believe that to be true, i bet if people actually say how that team was ran Bob still has a lot of say on what happens with his teams. but like you said he has evolved enough to notice what works now and that says a lot. not saying that you, leatherneck, were accusing Bob of just being a figure head and not having reponsibility anymore, but I've heard it a lot since he gave up some jobs to his assistants

  7. Metcalfe has put up a ton of points in the playoffs, I'm taking Metcalfe by 2 scores. Go Hornets
  8. I'm sure there will be plenty of Breds fans there to tailgate, I know i will be. In fact I'll be in louisville thursday night
  9. I'm with you papa, if Newcath plays a mistake free game I don't think anyone in 2A can hang with them. It's really scarey to think of what some of these games could have been like and could still be like.
  10. What's DeSales like I don't know anything about them
  11. I couldn't agree more. I'd like to see them use a little more I formations, it would open up their offence that much more and make them even more potent
  12. Is it just me or does Mark Kelly never get a hole to run through? If it weren't for him breaking at least 2 tackles everytime he gets the ball he wouldn't have any yards.

  14. It could be Newcath if they didn't mess up a 1st and 7 from the 7 with about 50 ticks left in the game. but owell i guess 2A will have to wait til next year.
  15. I never realized that the Thanksgiving day practice was such a big deal to other progams. when I was at Newcath i dont think anyone was there to watch are morning practice, and if there were they didn't get much of a show. Maybe it has changed though in the last few years.
  16. They are both still around. At least i know Jacobs is. After NCC Jacobs played at Notre Dame under Loue Holtz (and he's still looks like a man among boys even with adults) and I don't believe Sandfoss played college ball. They both have relatives go through Newcath like the Kiernan brothers who are cousins of Jacobs I think, I know they are related somehow.
