  1. Trevor Setty Tyler Portwood Jordan Smart
  2. Not really, Should have won both games Against Dunbar Mc was up 15 + in the second hald and def. would have won if they could have hit half of their ft's. Against Lex Cath they led most of the game (not by much) but just couldn't pull it out. I usually don't blame refs... but Catholic got a lot of calls go there way!
  3. As I stated earlier I don't think their games are very similar, besides the fact they both can shoot. Pittsnogle played downlow a lot and would drift out for his shot. For some reason when I think of a Setty-like player Kyle Korver from Creighton who is now in the League comes to my mind. Setty's shot isn't near as polished as Korver's but there both big guard/forwards who can shoot and handle the ball.
  4. It will be interesting to see if Mc can shoot GRC outta of the zone that they play.
  5. From what I saw they were lacking a lot, but they are very young and could develop into a solid team in the next couple of years.
  6. Was anyone else not impressed by Brandon Jennings? I know this is one game and he definitely flashed signs of brillance but it looked to me like he has a bad attitude, did anyone else notice this?
  7. Setty is taller than 6'4', however you still cant compare Setty to Pittsnogle :thumb:.The only similarity they have is that they are both shooters. If thats the case then you can compare Setty to tons of other players. Pittsnogle was effective in the Big East because he was a 7 footer that could shoot, Setty doesn't have that luxury. I think Setty could be a project for Huggins, bring him in put some weight on him and see what he can do. I would say at least by his jr. year he could see significant minutes
  8. Grc won 73-46, it's the only game I can recall in a while that was not close.
  9. Fleming may try to slow it down and play physical to keep it close, but Mason by at least 15
  10. The one thing I did admire about Paris is they kept playing hard, even when the outcome of the game was determined (which was pretty early on.) Way to Keep your girls playing hard Coach Brooks! :thumb:
  11. They only only won by 6, that doesn't seem head and shoulders above their district opponents ( I know point differential doesn't always matter.) I wasn't at the game but it seems like it was pretty close
  12. 7-- West Jess. 5-- Bryan Station 3-- McCreary Central 2-- Franklin County 1-- Montgomery T.B. Bryan Station
  13. 7-- Breathitt Co. 5-- Lex. Cath. 3-- Corbin 2-- Pike County Central 1-- Pikeville T.B. Lex. Cath
  14. This is the first GRC Montgomery game in a while that there really hasn't been a clear cut favorite. So the only prediction I can make is that like always, it will be down the wire and there will be an amazing atmosphere!
  15. Furthermore it's not even about going D-1 at all. It's where the kid feels comfortable basketball wise and education wise. Middleton will get a great education at G-town while having fun playing ball (and it's not too bad that he got it paid for.) If Setty wants to go D-1 thats his choice, however if he wants to go to a smaller school then that is his choice not ours!
  16. He also is not close to being a 7 footer like Pittsnogle.
  17. They are, I have seen them out together on multiple occassions
  18. Which is not surprising at all. I don't think Henry Clay will be able to beat many good teams with 34 turnovers, no matter how athletic.
  19. I think Setty would be great for huggy bear, versatile and can shoot the 3!
  20. Wow, surprised Bennett only had 2 and they won.
  21. A 98th grader? he definitely has a lot of experience then! jk with ya! However I have seen Dini play on a soccer field and he was a very aggressive and physical player. I am not suprised at all, i'm sure he's an outstanding defender as well as rebounder!
  22. Agreed, Clark was a man among boys tonight:ylsuper:
  23. I believe it was 3 years ago. Montgomery had a senior led team and swept Grc that year, eventually getting beat by Pendleton Co. in the region finals.
