Montgomery County 51 Paris 29

Featured Replies

Wow! I never expected this one to be that lopsided. Montgomery proves once again that they are number 1 until someone in the region beats them. Congrats to Montgomery.

Absolutely correct, Montgomery County is the top dog until someone knocks them off in the region. Looks like Montgomery County can play a great deal of defense to hold a Paris team to only 29 points and still win by 32. That is an amazing stat.

you mean 22 dream???

51-29 = 22

Just a quick math lesson..

I know its an honest mistake and givin you a hard time Dream..

But agree with both of you.. Montgomery Co is #1. A very good Paris team is 0-4, but look at the competition they have played.. Hard to judge this team because of the competition they have played.

Paris never has been afraid to play the top dogs. I think that helps Coach Brooks mold his talent into challengers for the region year in and out. I really believe that is why they won the Class A Region last year. His girls learn what it is like to play BIG games and what it takes to win.

One of the biggest differences I saw tonight is Montgomery's ability to knock down outside shots and Paris's inability to do so. This fact and Montgomery's dominance inside will go a long way in the 10th region. Once again the 10th comes down to Mason and Montgomery.

The one thing I did admire about Paris is they kept playing hard, even when the outcome of the game was determined (which was pretty early on.) Way to Keep your girls playing hard Coach Brooks! :thumb:

I agree. Coach Brooks always has a competitive team that will get after you for 4 quarters. They will be a factor in their district, I wouldn't want to play them in the first round. How that all plays out will be interesting. Good luck Coach Brooks and the Lady Greyhounds.

Great example of that it is not just about playing hard.

You have to be able to knock down shots and play hard too.

Were you watching the same game as me? These Ladyhounds gave up early in the 2nd quarter when they went down 20 pts. Granted they showed signs up life in the 3rd by cutting the lead to 12, they didnt play hard after getting back down 20.

The girls on the bench however will play hard.. they should maybe play more.
