I agree that most stats except for points and rebounds are subjective. I do know that some coaches watch game film to compile the stats and don't rely on parents.

Conner is 20-2 on the year with some big wins. I don't think many people expected them to have the success they've had this year. They lost three starters from last year's team and two 6'+ girls didn't come back to play this year. Their success comes from Warfield getting them to play "team" basketball. Congratulations girls on an already successful year! Keep the wins coming and good luck in the postseason.

I disagree with you about matchups. I think Highlands depth is the key to these wins. Highlands is very talented (they have 5 girls that play on the same AAU team all summer). Plus they have other talented players. Conner has been going 6 deep (sometimes 7) and I believe a team with Highlands depth has been a big factor.

I think you can count the 16-1 Conner Lady Cougars of the 9th region as a HOT team. They've recently beaten Clay County and Simon Kenton.

Is that player Sammy Bolling? She is talented. I believe she was at Beechwood, left, then came back. There are several other talented girls who used to attend Beechwood now playing at other schools.

Real nice win for Conner. Clay County was ranked 10th in one poll and 16th in the state in another.

I've known all along they have a lot of talent on that team and a lot of the girls are young. I was surprised they didn't win more games early in the season, but it sounds like they are playing better now. Didn't see the Boone game, so I can't comment on how well Boone or Highlands played in that one.

I would give them a "B". I think they are doing a LOT better than in years past, but have missed some big games or upsets. I assume they don't have reporters at every game, so are they calling the coaches that evening to get details?
