If they return a lot on defense it will keep them in games because that's where they were much improved from past years. Question remains is the offense going to improve? if not, then I see a .500 season.

There isn’t much to do in either city. The difference is Raceland is A LOT closer to cities (Ashland & Huntington) with things to do than Olive Hill. Still, I have great friends that teach and coach at West, and I hope they drill Sheldon Clark Friday.

LOL What you should be giving Raceland is about 50% of the gate from your first round playoff game since we helped you win the tie breaker and your first district title. Give East about 25% you guys keep the other 25%.

Geez, people on here are ridiculous. Nothing is being changed offensively or defensively. If anything it will be schematic in relation to what Russell does or doesn’t do. The RAMS lose two games in a row & people blow everything out of proportion & lose their minds.

Messer won four individual Class A State titles this past year (Pole Vault- New Class A State record, Long Jump, High Jump, & the 110 High Hurdles). Also won three the year before (Pole Vault, High Jump, 110 High Hurdles, & State Runner-Up in the Triple Jump).

Also, please total up the records of teams who’ve had a consistent winning program that usually hire a head coach with no previous head coaching experience, or just 3-5 years as an assistant. Please name me the schools that consistently have a shot to win outside the 4-6 around here. Out of those 4-6, how many hire a coach with NO head coaching experience?

Well you are trying (whether you admit it or not) to imply that he’d leave for the first HC job available because he’s not happy being the QB Coach at Raceland, which is ridiculous. He’ll eventually get his chance when the time is right. He’s not going to leave for the sake of just leaving. He’s from Raceland and played there, and has a lot of input with our offense.

Yes, he did. Did you not read my post? I said unless he lands a HC position at a school where he has a shot to win. That doesn’t exist at the present time around our area, and there aren’t many in this area to begin with within a 1-2 hour radius.

They’re not going to struggle with Fairview’s “skill.” They only have one guy with any speed. He may make some catches, but he’s not Baker, Dalton, or Brown. I’d say after watching the line play this past Friday Roy will be on the move more than Osama Bin Laden was before we dusted him.
