These are not the same rebels but, if we are comparing scores, this is not the same Panthers either. No disrespect to Allen central...they have done a whale of a job over there. 8-2 with a one point loss to Pikeville is a dream season in that district! And Im not writing Pikeville's obituary(sp?) yet either. The Panthers played a killer early schedule!!

Im sure that you are right. I have been in Tennessee to long. I'll find out for sure from JB tonight! I dont see the rationale in this though. Who is the Pikeville/Paintsville/Allen Central district going to play in the first round? The Raceland/Fairview district??

In reality it is the principal that hires/fires, but Ive seen places that it could be local politicians, the town barber, or school custodian,LOL!:lol:

My point in asking is that, if Harlan can nail down the #2 spot, they have a legit shot at winning their first round game. That would be a huge boost to Harlan for the next season!:thumb:

I have seen Knott play and have been kinda keeping up with the Leslie Co scores and, honestly, this one shocks me a little. Thats what you get when you compare scores(and when you dont have a dog in the fight)! Congratulations to Leslie County. Way to keep fighting!! One other side note...Ive seen a bunch of teams play this year and Knott has a LB that is as good as you will run into and, again, Im not a Knott County backer!!

If Harlan beats Jenkins, they will have the #2 spot in the district and play the opening round at home. Someone tell me who is likely to finish 3rd in the opposite district. I havent been keeping up with it at all, but I assume Pikeville will win it with Paintsville coming in 2cd. I have been seeing good things from Allen Central. Anyway, how does that district likely shape up? HDE?? Anyone??

I agree. I hope the Campers heal up before the playoffs and I think that you are correct that Harlan will recover in the future. I hope this series is able to continue because it has been very competetive over the years.:thumb:

Another good game between two of the moutain's premier programs....you gotta love HS football!!!

It was a heckuva game to watch. The Campers started 2 drives inside the Harlan 10 yd line or it could have been closer. But Lynn Camp had turnovers that hurt as well. Both teams were a little hamstringed on offense but I did think Harlan's back up QB did a good job. You could tell that Lynn camp didnt have that one break away threat that they usually have but they are big and aggressive up front. Overall, it was just a good high school football game!:thumb:

I'll take Corbin in a sqeaker. These type of games are what Mt. HS football is all about. Two of the most storied programs in the mountains going at it. You have got to love HS football!!!

Lynn Camp will be the favorite but, after playing each other for years and years, Coach Donahue and Coach Mitchell know each other very well. With the injuries the Campers have, this could be a very interesting game. I know each program respects the other. Good luck to both teams!

AllSEC first team his jr and sr years. I remember listening on the radio to his first game at Vandy. They were playing Duke and he played sparingly in the first half and then lit it up in the 2cd half. He finished with 36 and that was before the 3 pt line. :thumb:
