In the 31st Gallatin is the top seed and plays the Eminence-Carroll winner. Henry gets the Owen-Trimble winner. Gallatin has won 7of 9 with the losses coming at Spencer and South Oldham. The Wildcats actually led at Crestwood on Friday night with a little over 6 minutes to play and trailed by 5 with 4 1/2 play before the Dragons pulled away in the last 4 minutes.

The list is in order of votes received. Interesting that Gallatin and Owen were 2 of the 3 schools with multiple players.

For the second consecutive game, both wins, Gallatin converted only 4 2 point baskets. They also made their only two free throw attempts. Jonah Brinker’s three pointer with two seconds remaining gave the Wildcats the victory. Gallatin’s last 8 baskets of the game were three pointers.

It was a 6:00 tip. Gallatin won 71-51.

Every District should play twice. If for no other reason than the gate. Why wouldn’t you schedule your rivals twice for the huge crowds. Also, seeding is too important for it to hinge on which school gets home court that particular season.

South Oldham is one of the Top 3 teams in the 8th with a veteran squad. I was there and expected it be a toss up. Definitely not an upset.

Definitely a quality win. Wildcats don’t go to their bench much and were down a starter. Add in they won a big district road game the night before and it was their 6th game in 8 days makes it even better.
