It was off before the buzzer for sure. But it was more than 1.8 no doubt. Threw in to left side and passed to right side and then a shot, really? Having said that, Leslie deserved the win. They played an excellent 2nd half.

Very dissapointing. Powell had a solid lead and then stopped playing their game. Leslie outplayed them by a lot in the 2nd half, congrats to them on their win. I still love my Lady Pirates.

Quick thoughts: From a Powell perspective this is a tough draw. Leslie is a tough team, the game could go either way. Powell has been very hot, but Leslie took them to OT on Powell's home floor and Moore had around 46 to 48 points if memory serves, with Powell's Rogers having 38. Letcher will walk over Breathitt (opinion). Winner of Powell/Leslie can at least put up a fight against Letcher, I look forward to that game. Wolfe and Estill have to be thrilled that they drew one another. Will be a good experience for either of these young teams to make the 2nd round. Knott vs Perry should be a good game, I give a slight edge to Perry. Winner of Perry/Knott likely has a trip to the finals in their future, no offense to Wolfe/Estill. I look for the tournament to be very competitive and I wish all the teams good luck!

Estill did what they could to keep it close but when Powell inserted Lindon to cover Flynn the tide swung completely to the Lady Pirates. Rogers was named the MVP for the 2nd straight year and she played great. The entire team did well. Good luck to both Powell and Estill in the regional tournament.

Interested to see how estill starts the second half.

Powell looked good against Estill last night. Estill is very young and really doesn't match up well at all with Powell.

I believe that the only count up to +15 for total margain of victory, not 25, but I could be wrong.

Estill doesn't have an answer for Rogers. With the addition of Peck into the starting lineup this season the team has really took a big step forward and I believe they will be able to run away with the district. Estill has played better after a bad start to the season, but they are very young and have to rely on Flynn to score at a high rate.

I was honestly surprised it was this close. That is the nature of a rivalry I suppose.

I believe the top 2 teams could go either way, the competition at #3 through 5 will be great. I look for a good season of competition in the 14th region this year.

I look for Estill to be very competitive. They have an outstanding sophmore gaurd (Flynn) and some quality young talent to go with her. They will certainly not be the same team as last year though, I agree.
