March 9, 201214 yr The OT serves as a warnnig to us, but its not the pattern of Salvation found in Jesus, where the NT does. God changed the plan. We still read the amazing stories of the OT, and it teaches us by these accounts. Forgiveness is found with Joseph Genesis, David writing Psalm 23 which is used at Funerals, Womens roles in the blood line of Jesus in Ruth, Moses rejecting God and then doing it to save Millions of Jews, Isaiah foretelling of the Virgin Birth, Micah telling where this Birth will happen,Jonah disobeying God, and being in the belly of the Bfg Fish..I have more if you want, but Salvation is found in only one name Acts 4:12 I was skimming through the first page and saw where you stated "God doesn't change, man does." Then I see where you stated the bold. Can you elaborate?
March 9, 201214 yr When the people of the Old testament disobeyed God Time after time, he had to develop a new plan. This plan envolved sending his Son to earth to save mankind from their Sins. But God is just that God, and he found a new way a better way for man to come back to him, so he changed his own plan. When I use the phrase "God doesn't change it means his word is true and it works, but who tried to change God's plans, Man. Look at Isaiah 55:8/9. This change was over 2K years ago and is now written in stone, and cannot be changed. I can also show you 4/5 verses where God relented after speaking to Man, all in the OT.
March 9, 201214 yr Wouldn't it be a detriment to society if the homosexual population got too high? How would there be any new babies? Wouldn't it be a detriment to society if "those that can't have children" population got too high?
March 9, 201214 yr Wouldn't it be a detriment to society if "those that can't have children" population got too high? Huh?
March 9, 201214 yr Wouldn't it be a detriment to society if "those that can't have children" population got too high? Let's round up all the non-fertile people and put them out to pasture!
March 9, 201214 yr Author Let's round up all the non-fertile people and put them out to pasture! Agreed but, lets also round up all the people who dont need to be fertile. Hate the sin, not the sinner
March 11, 201214 yr 1. Kirk Cameron's opinion carries no more weight than anyone else's. 2. IMO people can use the Bible to support almost any opinion they want. 3. I have been blessed with the opportunity to work with people of many races, cultures and sexual orientations. I have learned to appreciate those who are different than I. In truth, the gay people I know are kinder and more accepting of their fellow man than any Bible thumping, judgemental "I know what God wants" counterparts. I think God would like acceptance better than judgement any day.
March 11, 201214 yr How would we have new babies? The welfare system as currently constructed will ensure that there are always more babies. I know,,off topic.

March 11, 201214 yr Perhaps because the Bible was written by MEN, not God or Jesus. The God I know put all kinds of people on the Earth. I doubt He did that so any particular group can Judge another. I get very tired of closed minded people with little cultural experience telling everyone what GOD wants. You need to read 2nd Timothy 3:16:17, and get back to us after you do, or I'll give it to you.
