I'll forever defend that he has a right to make those comments, but I also have the right to think that people that think that way are idiots.

Lets see what the words God wrote has to say about the gay Situation. Also the bible tells us in Ezekiel we MUST warn others of their Sins, if we don't their blood will be on our hands. This verse is repeated 3 times in Ezekiel it is so impoortant. I have written several letters to the local newspaper, some have been printed some not. But I did as Kirk did as we are instructed in the Bible.

Thats fair, I just wanted to know what was idiotic. From what I read, there was plenty that may be objectionable, depending upon your beliefs, but nothing that was idiotic. He seemed like he was well spoken and well thought out in his comments. Here are his comments, as best I can find.

 

"Marriage is almost as old as dirt, and it was defined in the Garden between Adam and Eve. One man, one woman for life till death do you part. So I would never attempt to try to redefine marriage. And I don't think anyone else should either."

"So do I support the idea of gay marriage? No, I don't."

 

And when asked if he thought homosexuality was a sin, Cameron went on to say, "I think that it's unnatural. I think that it's detrimental, and ultimately destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization."

 

When asked how he would react if one of his sons told him he was gay "I wouldn't say 'That's great, son, as long as you're happy.' I'm going to say, 'There are all sorts of issues we need to wrestle through in our life. Just because you feel one way doesn't mean we should act on everything we feel'."

I understand your thinking, even if I don't share in it.

 

It is a narrow view, but one that is shared by most all main line evangelical/christian groups.

 

The fact that they are holding steadfast to their convictions, and that they base those convictions on the Bible doesn't make them idiots.

I have no agenda.

The OT serves as a warnnig to us, but its not the pattern of Salvation found in Jesus, where the NT does. God changed the plan. We still read the amazing stories of the OT, and it teaches us by these accounts. Forgiveness is found with Joseph Genesis, David writing Psalm 23 which is used at Funerals, Womens roles in the blood line of Jesus in Ruth, Moses rejecting God and then doing it to save Millions of Jews, Isaiah foretelling of the Virgin Birth, Micah telling where this Birth will happen,Jonah disobeying God, and being in the belly of the Bfg Fish..I have more if you want, but Salvation is found in only one name Acts 4:12

I also like Corvetts and love to own one but will never want one because it doesn't fit. A pretty girl can be looked at as a beautiful woman but I have no desire to make love to her, it wouldn't fit also. 1st Samuel 16:7... Wouldn't it be a detriment to society if the homosexual population got too high? How would there be any new babies? :confused:
