Perhaps to be more political correct and stop these types of beat downs then maybe the two small schools or at least one of them step up to the plate and vote for the seeding of the tourney and then these types of beatdowns dont happen. I can assure you unless you were at the game, Highlands pulled their starters mid 3rd qtr in fear of scoring 130by default. No way did Highlands run it up.

Oh and one of the small schools voting for seeding? that wont work, those schools want to keep the blind draw in hopes of getting lucky and finding themselves in the regional tourney.

Weird how some decisions that some make come back to bite you.

So whats it going to be folks.........................

How do you consider scoring 40 points in the 2nd quarter not running it up? I don't care who was in the game there is no excuse to do that to another team. And don't blame seeding. Talked to too many people who where there that were impartial and they said it was blantant what they did. There are MANY ways to hold the score down.

Bottom line Highlands is not very good.....thats easy to see. To win you have to have some horses....

Too bad they weren't playing Bellevue where they could score at will, and did. Those things have a way of coming back to bite you.

My comment was not meant to insinuate the score was being "run up". It was not....congrats to the Breds!

I unfortunately was not at the game, but find it hard to believe that this score was run up intentionally. What was to be gained by HHS in doing this? It is my understanding that the score was 8 to 8 after one quarter and then 48 to 16 at half. How did the 40 points come about? I would assume that the end of the bench was playing in the game for much of the second half, so are they not supposed to try and score? Should HHS have played keep away? If they were in fact running, then that is easy to correct by simply having your team walk the ball up the floor and run a little offense, but you still look to score in my opinion.

IMO, NCC is not 30 points better than Highlands rather they shot well early and things went down hill from there. The real question that cannot be answered is how much different this game would have been if Ava Abner was able to play. The Birds have really struggled in her absence both offensively and defensively.

Ava was a big loss. Is there really that much of a drop off from the starter to backup? Lack of depth an issue?

It would be like Towles going down in football and Ava's dad coming in to replace him, not all that bad but a 3 TD difference imo. LOL
