Ryle 54 Boone 51 District 33 Championship

I am new to NKY sports but found something interesting I overheard this evening at another game about Ryle and Boone rosters. It was stated and I am paraphrasing that Ryle has a Walton resident and Cooper resident playing on their team. Boone has a Ryle resident playing for Boone. I am not questioning anyone's reasons but my experience with HS sports is that kids play within their district? Are parents and players allowed to chose who they play for in KY?

I vote we pass on this. BB, this news you heard has been beaten like a drum on here over the years. Long story.

Way to late in these two's careers to rehash this. If KHSAA says OK then it is OK.

Frank, it hardly seemed Syd touched the ball in the 2nd and 3rd quarter. Your analysis?

I think she touched the ball but a lot of it was out on the floor, part of the time playing the point with JJ on the bench with 2 fouls. And Syd tends to become a pass first-shoot, second player when she plays the point. That plus her jumper just wasn't on tonight and when that happens she isn't nearly as aggressive in looking to shoot.

I wish Boone had decided to put her inside earlier than the 4th quarter. With her ability around the hoop I'd do that quickly if her outside shot wasn't going in and I needed points.

She was very frustrated with how things went and headed off to the gym right after the game............to work on her shot. Probably a smart, effective way to work off the frustration!

I am not questioning anyone's reasons just was curious about the rules. Sounds to be all discussed and approved so I apologize for bringing up a sensitive subject.

That is a number 2 district team I wouldn't want to face in the Region. Should be interesting.
