One thing I wanna see from Holmes is more full court pressing. I don't think anyone can hang with them if they press more often.

 

They can't press for 32 minutes...not enough depth. They are best when they play full court man to man then set up the zone. Their 2-3 match up zone is very good when they are communicating with eachother.

 

Holmes can press anyone in spurts but I don't think pressing Dixie is a good idea. Colonels ate their press alive when they played.

What I am trying to say is that the draw is done by districts. Meaning that if Cooper(33rd) draws Dixie(34th) that means on the other side of the bracket Lloyd(34th) will play Boone(33rd). If Cooper plays a team from the 34th district Boone cannot play a team from the 35th or 36th distict in the first round. So, if the districts match-up on one side of the bracket in the first round, they also match-up on the other side of the bracket.

 

At least, I have always thought that is how it was.

 

Good question. I didn't know it was that way but in looking at recent brackets it does appear so.

Used a number randomizer generator online to come up with the draw order and then put on my coaches hat to pick where I think I would go and this is what I came up with:

My district winners order of placement was 34th, 33rd, 35th, 36th and I wasn't sure if the runners-up was the same order, so I drew again and it was 34th, 35th, 33rd, and 36th. Since Dixie drew 1st and had to go to the bottom part of the bracket, I wasn't sure if they would want to play NCC or Holmes, so I went with who they beat by a greater margin, could go either way. Again, this was all an exercise to predict the bracket. Pretty sure it will not go down this way. It was fun nonetheless.
