Jake Schulte played like a man possesed tonight, at the half 14 pts. 8 reb, and a handful of blocks. This is the type of game that has been missing all year from Jake, hopefully he continues this style of play. Tonight was the first time in a long time the Breds attacked the glass. Drew McDonald saw some action and looked as if the injury is all but behind him. The Wildcats played hard, but are very undisiplined IMO, especially, down a bunch, they just come across half-court and before they get into an offensive set somebody is jacking up a shot. They did come out in the 3rd and move the ball around nicely and connect on their first 4 or 5 in a row, but things went "south" rather quickly from there.

Given the closeness of the HHS v. Dayton game, I don't think anyone in Ft. Thomas is overlooking Bellevue tonight.

 

Good win for the Breds. They'll have to get more production from Schulte if they expect to challenge Boone, Dixie, Holmes, and the CovCath/Holy Cross winner for the 2012 Regional title

Schulte is a nice player but inconsistent. Like Horst said, NCC will need his inside presence if They want to contend.
