gchs_uk9
Garrard had every chance to win it and didn't get it done. The Lions led by 5 with under two minutes to go. Boyle's Kyle Rice made two huge three pointers in the last minute to tie the game. Boyle made a parade to the foul line in the overtime, making all I believe, and Garrard couldn't put it in the basket. Best of luck to the Rebels next week - they will cause someone some trouble. As a side note, Austin Sebastian, sophomore guard for Garrard, had 27 of the teams 39 points. Sebastian is in my opinion the best player in the area, and unquestionably the best scorer. Its a shame more people won't get to see him play in the region.

PurplePride92
Great game. I agree with everything GCHS said. We had no answer for Sebastian all night. He'll be a fun one to keep track of over the next two years. Proud of my Rebels for once again not giving up. Those threes by Kyle Rice were huge and he has been our MVP these last two weeks. Survive and advance is the name of the game and that is what we did tonight. Let's get this championship!!!!
gchs_uk9
So much for "nothing close," right PP?! Even when we were talking, you and I both knew it would be a white-knuckler!
PurplePride92
So much for "nothing close," right PP?! Even when we were talking, you and I both knew it would be a white-knuckler! Yeah, I was thinking wishful thinking the whole time. At least the refs didn't decide the game. That was our other fear. 3 great games all year with Garrard. If the JV and freshman games from this year are any indication these matchups will continue to remain close games. Good young talent coming up for both teams.
