Wow...not shocked by the outcome, but definitely by the margin.

Lafayette was scheduled to play GRC tonight, but canceled because they had the chance to play Trinity.

Top-ranked Louisville Trinity leveled visiting Lafayette 99-41. The Shamrocks had 20 steals and scored 54 points off 38 turnovers. Trinity trailed 13-10 with 3:42 to go in the first quarter before going on a 20-0 run.

Charles Foster and Troy Saxton led a balanced attack with 14 points and four steals apiece for Trinity (23-3). Miles Rice added seven points and five steals. Generals star Jackson Davis was held to eight points and two rebounds.

Trinity forced 39 turnovers and had 12 players scoring 5 or more points, with Saxton and Foster leading the way with 14 each.

Surprised GRC would let them out of the contract for that reason. And can't imagine Lafayette would just pay the cancellation fee. Interesting.

With the behind the wood shed whipping they took maybe they should have stuck with Clark.

The game was scheduled to be at Lafayette. I don't know all the details of what happened, announcers were talking about it before our game last night.

I say good for them to come on over and play this game. We always salute those schools who are happy to schedule us. Good for them. I hope it helps them out with the rest of their season. Wish them well.

Lafayette agreeing to go to Trinity and play......dropping GRC for that punishment at Trinity!!!! They deserve what they got.....a major tailkicking, don't really know how that could help them with their dismal season??

I def think it could help them in the longrun!!! Lafayette has ZERO seniors and hardly any varsity experience coming into this season. They still tied with Lex Cath and Tates Creek for the district championship.

As for this season, I dont understand how it can help to get beat by 50+ when you have post season starting in a week. Who knows, maybe it will?

Good luck to both teams the reast of the way!!!

Its always real nice to see the kids from neighboring counties have such success at Trinity(football and bball).

I really hope GRC had a good reason for allowing this to happen.

Really NICE!!!!
