Giants defense is ranked 27th. Stats lie.

I guess them not being healthy for most of the year doesn't come in to play, when this kind of statement is thrown out there.

I'm the one saying stats lie.

I know what they are ranked. Just like it was not a coincidence either that they had a horrible stretch during the middle of the year when they went 1-5 or something like that. Even though they had the offense, it didn't matter since they couldn't stop anyone. I never questioned about the need to have a top QB, teams with top QB's usually are successful every year. My thing was its the same with the defenses, teams with top defenses usually do really well too. The Bengals played 11 games against such top defenses this year, so even though they didn't play top QB's they also played top teams who also are very hard to beat. They also lost to those top defensive teams too, just like if they played the Packers, Saints, etc. teams with top offenses they would probably lose too. However against those top offenses, the Bengals offense including Dalton would have looked much better and would have put up much more points against teams like that. Shoot if the Bengals played 11 games against those top offenses who had bad defenses, the Bengals offense might have been in the top 10 instead of the Bengals defense.

This is a QB driven league, and is what sells tickets more than great defenses. That is why I was also happy to see the Pats and Giants win, I like great offenses. However my point all along was that playing those top defensive teams this year, was also as tough as playing a team with a top QB. I have seen that you have changed your stance some from when we first started this though, and you do give more credit now than you were before about playing good defenses. Even those top QB's look normal against those defenses.
