Anybody know how many kids are showing up for workouts? I know a bunch play basketball and wrestle. I just hope they get things back to winning this year. Any new coaches hired yet?

Hey ukfan#1, are they looking for new coaches? If so, who? Don't really follow to much other than your, uhhh, post on here.

Well 2 players have transferred to Beechwood the Bright twins. The Stringer kid might also transfer to Beechwood. Hopefully the Stringer kid stays at SK from what I have heard the kid is going to be a great player.

Doubt they are looking for a new coach considering Marksberry is the AD. Most public schools have the same issue, the talents is cyclical, you seem to get a run of great kids for two or three years and then the fortunes turn. SK has a great facility and a pretty solid staff in place, the grapevine says that the next few classes are pretty solid...so SK should be back to .500 or better next year (IMO).

SK will return plenty of good players I just hope the Coaching staff can get it together.

Have heard the same, but so has everyone. I know he is tight with both the Bright boys and the big Combs kid, who is already there. Baseball may be the deciding factor for him, he is an elite level player (never seen him, but know some who have).

Ethan Stringer is better than elite at baseball. Best pure hitter I've seen. He doesn't swing and miss often and hits everything hard.

This is a football thread! It also sounds like good things are happening at SK from what I have heard!

It's worth mentioning Stringers talent in baseball as why he may leave, because he is a darn good football player too. NKYFL player of the year. He's someone SK can't afford to lose

I think Stringer will stay at SK!

I think most of us tuned in to see if ukfan#1's prediction was going to be for 19 or 20 Pioneer wins. Y'know, the conservative estimate.

So Beechwood is getting all the Good young talent from Independence? Hmmmm

What gets me about these kids is that they were planning to go to Beechwood anyways before they started High School, so why did they go to SK for freshman year?

From what I have heard it was the father's decision.

SK's O-Line coach has stepped down from the team from what I have heard. SK has also will be up grading the weight room.
