January 9, 201214 yr For the longest time I thought LOL meant "lots of love". I kept thinking that everyone was just so nice!!! :lol: :lol: :lol: My son is now out of college. When he was in about 7th grade I saw a pic of a female friend of his and it had "LOL" on the back and I, too, thought it meant lots of love. I was disappointed to find out that my ribbing was off base.
January 9, 201214 yr Heard a story about a preacher (or his wife?) who thought LOL meant "lots of love." Someone posted on facebook that they had just lost a loved one and this person commented "LOL!" I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

He went to a funeral for someone close to his family. As people lined up to pay their respects to the widow, they were all saying sorry for your loss. He told her sorry about your luck. :lol:
