Wireman
Murray State has played EKU terribly since Neubauer was hired. Solid record, but the games have always been close. Murray State is a 17-point favorite tonight.
Wireman
It does not take a brain surgeon. Nearly half the field is take up by automatic bids, so that part of the guessing game is out. 75% of the remaining spots are filled by teams that are locks. So we are talking a small number. So when you hear that "He got 65 out of 68" correct!" What they are really saying is that he got 4 out 7 correct. I'd like to think that if I made an annual salary as a "bracketologist", that I could get more than 4 out of 7.

Wireman
Take EKU. This Aska injury has me shaken up. It just depends on whether or not EKU can hit outside shots tonight. They have played well on the road against some pretty good teams, so we'll see.
dmderringer10
Why do SIUE's games count in the standings if they aren't eligible to compete in postseason play yet?
Wireman
Why do SIUE's games count in the standings if they aren't eligible to compete in postseason play yet? I think they are eligible for regular season play in the OVC but not the tournament (if I'm not mistaken).
dmderringer10
I think they are eligible for regular season play in the OVC but not the tournament (if I'm not mistaken). Exactly. Their games shouldn't count in the standings since they can't make the OVC tournament. What's the point in that?

bugatti
Exactly. Their games shouldn't count in the standings since they can't make the OVC tournament. What's the point in that?It is no different than USC not bein eligible to play in the PAC-10 title game. It occurs all the time.
bugatti
Racers keep it going!Canaan went Jodie Meeks beast mode in the first half with 27 points. 7-7 from long range, 3-4 inside the arc. 22 of his points came before the 10 minute mark. APSU adjusted well by face guarding him, but to his credit he did not force the action and dished out 5 assists in the second half and hit all 8 of his ft attempts. APSU is 0-3 in conference, but they are a solid club now that their big man is playing. He missed the first 10 or 11 games with an injury.
00Rocket28
17-0! Racers! Racers! Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Racers! I'm sure it won't happen, but I can't help but just hope they can go on a Butler type run. And I'm sure some bigger name program will come in and take our coach again... bugatti
17-0 but barely hanging on. Since the loss of Aska Murray State is a different team. That should be expected on some level, but not to the point to where they are struggling with teams like Jacksonville State. And by struggling I mean just played to the their level. Murray State ended up winning by 11, but it was a close game throughout, but one of those games you knew they were never in danger of losing. Sort of like UK at Auburn the other night. Murray State was frigid from the field. Normally they are a good shooting team. Tonight they really missed Aska in not having anyone to feed it to for easy baskets against a smaller team. ESPN U has been filming All-Access at Murray State the past couple of days. It will air next week on ESPN U. Great coverage. Hopefully Prohm can keep the boys grounded. Tomorrow afternoon's game will be on ESPN U at 6:00 EST/ 5 CST against Tennessee Tech. All tickets are spoken for and they are expecting a sell out. If Murray State is able to win (Tech has that punk Zach Swanzy :irked:), they will have gotten through the three most difficult OVC foes without their team leader and best interior play. Many picked Tech to win the conference. MSU was 3 or 4 in most things I read.

bugatti
Austin Peay is the best 4-13 team in the country. Not that there are many out there, but in all seriousness, Peay is not nearly as bad as their record indicates.
