Cip was only 2-11 from the field for 9 points, but MSU pretty much was in control throughout against SEMO. SEMO is one of the top shooting teams in the NCAA but the Racers held them to their lowest output of the season.

Love him or hate him, getting Dickie V. to Murray is a pretty big deal. Racer Nation had a good PR campaign to bring him to town. I actually sit front row just behind the commentators so I can go Mythbusters to see if I can see my reflection on his head.

Interesting note: If EKU beats EIU on Saturday, they are in the OVC Tourney.

If EKU loses and Morehead beats SIUE, EIU is in the OVC Tourney due to a tie-breaker.

Not sure how the tiebreaker scenarios work for the #3/#4/#5 spots. You want to avoid the #5 seed.

One thing I know for sure is that a Morehead State win and a Murray State win on Saturday would give the Eagles a first round bye. Beyond that, Im' not sure how it works out.

I am expecting Murphy to go off for 41 tomorrow night. Beyond seeding in the NCAA tournament, Murray is playing to become the first ever undefeated road team in OVC history.

That's the thing with Murphy...he has the talent to drop 40 on any given night but seems a little inconsistent. If he does drop 30+ and they get points from Dillard, it'll be a tough one for the Racers.

If Morehead State wins and either SEMO (vs. Peay) or Tennessee Tech loses, the Eagles clinch an OVC Tourney bye.

If Morehead State loses and both SEMO and Tennessee Tech wins, the Eagles are the No. 5 seed.

If Morehead State loses and either SEMO or Tennessee Tech loses, I'm not sure what happens.

No matter what happens for the rest of the season, my hat goes off to the Racers for going an entire season without losing a road game. I do not care if you are in the OVC or 9th Region, that is impressive. I am not sure any other college basketball team can say that. The Racers were down 10 in the second half but locked down defensively (what they are best at) and brought home another W.

In looking at the pairings, I hate knowing MSU most likely will have to face Tennessee Tech again on Friday evening. I believe Morehead has a chance with the match-ups to sneak in to the finals.
