I wonder how conflicted the HC players are when trying to do what their real coach tells them and then to have to listen to the coach from the stands who yells non-stop. "5 passes" "What are you doing" "Bend your kneees" "Tony" "Tony" "Tony".

Geez.

He drove me to change sides of the court after a very short stint of hearing that stuff. ANd it is not just the HC games either.

Who is the guy?

The older gentleman is obviously compulsive to be shouting something, anything, constantly. He even takes notes. The sad part is that the only people who can hear him are the folks a few rows around him who he is annoying. In all of his entreatments, never ever has he provided anything of substance. "Throw it up there - Tony Will Get It." It almost borders on mental illness.

Unfortunately, nothing can be done, since he obviously has paid his $6 and is probably not on the Holy Cross pass list - lol!

A little of him goes a long way, and something needs to be done about it.

NKU was there for the 2nd night in a row watching Campbell.

At times the young man looks like he hasn't played a lot of organized ball but then he does things that looks like he's been working on his game for a long time especially when he gets the ball in the post. He NEVER brings the ball down after catching it. Seems to be pretty loose and care-free. He has a bright future.

My guess is some AAU teams are already clamoring for his services.

Give credit AGAIN to Burger. Kid plays well. Tough going into the lane. Great body control.

PG spot concerns me a bit now for HC. A bit.

OK...back to the game.

HC

Tony Campbell 20 points, 15 rebounds, 7 blocks

Christian McClendon 18 points, 3 steals

Jake Burger 14 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals

Jared Fortner 10 points

CC

Kodi Reed 22 points, 5 steals

Brandon Word 12 points

Zach McGeorge 10 points, 5 assists

Tyler McDaniel 10 points

McDaniel from Clay County is a Freshman starter and played pretty well.

Holy Cross has 27 turnovers, shoots 13-30 from the FT line and still wins by 10. Obviously, Clay essentially playing six players had something to do with the outcome.

That's a quiet 18 for Christian. I know he had the two back-to-back 3s. Strong kid.

Clay has a nice team. Lack of depth and 3 days in a row going against the HC pressure was obviously a challenge.

As I said previously I really like Clay's frosh PG McDaniel. Kid doesn't get rattled.

If this was Simon Kenton, I think I could tell you what law firm he works for!

I think he just moved to Alexandria and is thinking about becoming a Brossart fan.
