Another slow start from Lee County, however, the Bobcats went on to outscore the Eagles by 16 in the fourth in order to pull off the victory. Another great performance by both Brandenburg and Rich. J. Liesegang and D. Liesegang both hit a couple outside shots to put Lee County back in the game in the middle of the third quarter and beginning of the fourth quarter. Lee County trailed by five at the half. Tyler Rich played an outstanding game at the post to create scoring opportunities for others, as well as scoring some pivotal points as well. Johnson Central played well and is a tremendous team.

Congratulations Lee County. If the Bobcats keep this up I believe the rest of the 14th region may figure out that this team is for real this year. Right now Lee and Perry are probably playing the best ball in the region.

Congrats to the Bobcats! Apparently JC doesn't have the consistency yet that we were hoping they had found. To get outscored by 16 in the 4th quarter is not a good sign, unless you are playing Scott County or someone like them!

Lee County is not a sleeper. Anybody that has watched them the last few years should have witnessed it. They have great talent, size and athletism. This team should be one of the top teams in the region. Anything less would be a disappointment.

Preseason 7th in the region. I think they may have been overlooked. Being a sleeper is not a bad thing.

I agree LCHS, and I think Lee Co. was a sleeper because we have had the talent and athleticism on our team for years, but it seems as though perhaps we were missing the drive. Coach Wright has motivated these talented youths to play to their potential. I've been watching Lee County games for several years and there were always games where we "should have" won, but didn't because it seemed as though our players would take themselves out of the game or didn't expect to do well. But now the players and the fans expect wins.

 

I also would like to say this is a special group of players we have on our team this year. I for one am very proud of their record, their ability, and their overall outlook.

I knew Lee County was underrated when I saw the various preseason ratings that had them around 6th or 7th. It's my understanding they had a great summer camp record against good competition, and they have most of their key players returning, plus a good 9th/10th grade squad to give them depth.

Right now I would have to put them as the favorite to win the 14th region All "A" Classic this year, and be in the thick of things to win the regular 14th region title.

I think Lee has been underrated all year so far. Great athleticism and solid at all positions. They will contend for the 14th this year.

I think so too. They are a deep team, going at least 4 deep on the bench. Good size and good shooting helps the Bobcats.

What about a coach that sweats more than his players and is just as active? Hats off to a young Danny Wright for a great job at Lee Co also.
