JaKeith Pitts is going to be huge for Boone this year. Sure would've been nice to see him in red and white this year instead, but such is life.

Solid win for the Rebels.

Two really good teams.

The Campbell kid from HC is legit. HC can contend for the region IMO.

Stanley is in the discussion when you mention top guards in the 9th.

I was a bit hard on Burger last year as I thought he didn't play smart. He played really well tonight and will be a huge key for the Tribe.

HC just needs time to get their rotations figured out and to eventually shorten the bench a bit. I thought their lineup at the end of the 2nd quarter put them in a hole.

They certainly have all of the pieces you're looking for.

However, their D is not good. Way too many easy looks for Boone.

Boone guards go for 46 tonight. That is a tough 3 headed monster to defend and will cause numerous match up problems for their opponents.

When I think of this HC team I think Newport 09/10... Fair comparison?

Deeper than that Newport team if I remember correctly.

Yea that Newport team had no depth but very good starting 5 that improved throughout the year. I could see the same happening with this group from the sounds of it. 35th will be a war.

Should be interesting to see how Pouncy fits into the rotation. Campbell is the key this season.

Fuller/Pouncy give HC 9 to 10 legit varsity players.

Can someone ask Coach Goetz to get the new kid some shorts that don't make him look like he played on Pitino's first UK team?

Its what happens when he shows up 5 days before the season starts. Surprised they didnt pull a pair of Coach Andre McClendon's shorts out of the vault. LOL

If you're a fan of fundamental basketball and strong shooting you'll love Zane McQueary. His shot is money and rarely forces a shot.

Avery came off the bench tonight and had 10 assists and only 3 TOs. Dude can pass the ball.

Im surprised he didnt start. Who were the first 5? Avery can deal it for sure.

Memory says Thompson/Fortner/Burger/McClendon/Campbell.
