December 5, 201114 yr Tebow's been great for the past month and a half now. Let's see what the Patriots do to the Broncos in a couple of weeks before people can completely hop on the Tebow bandwagon. The only team Tebow has faced with a high powered offense has been Detroit. The Lions won that one 45-10. I think the way Tebow plays (safely, conservatively) isn't going to work against teams like the Packers, Saints, Pats, etc.

What's the proven "way" that other teams routinely use that works against the Packers, Saints and Pats?
December 5, 201114 yr Really? What's the proven "way" that other teams routinely use that works against the Packers, Saints and Pats? Exactly! No teams can stop them, but if they play the Broncos and win, it's proof that Tebow isn't a QB? That makes no sense.

I think the way Tebow plays (safely, conservatively) isn't going to work against teams like the Packers, Saints, Pats, etc. Those 3 teams have also proven that teams that play the opposite style of Tebow doesn't work either. So are there no good QBs in the league other than Rodgeres, Brees, and Brady?
December 5, 201114 yr With all of the talk of these QBs including Tebow as not being good because they haven't beaten anybody, there sure seems to be a LOT of nobodies in the NFL nowadays.
December 5, 201114 yr Really? What's the proven "way" that other teams routinely use that works against the Packers, Saints and Pats? Yep. Those are three of the best teams in the NFL...combined 30-8. And one of the losses came from within the trio (Packers over Saints). I'm a staunch Tebow supporter, but have been skeptical of his ability to lead an NFL team as a starting quarterback. After the 7 games he's started this year, he's proven he's not elite. What he has proven, at least for 7 games, is that he does have the ability to be a starting NFL quarterback.
December 5, 201114 yr Exactly! No teams can stop them, but if they play the Broncos and win, it's proof that Tebow isn't a QB? That makes no sense. That wasn't my point. I just can't see him making a comeback on a team like the Pats with Brady who can control the clock as well as he does. If the Pats get up early like the Raiders or Vikings, you think they're going to let Tebow work his magic? Christian Ponder throws a terrible ball late to lose the game last night and everyone gives the credit to Tebow. Did he play well? Absolutely. But was he the reason they won? No. If they win, you give all the credit to Tebow and if they lose and someone says Tebow isn't as good as you think, you make it more of a team thing. You can't have it both ways.
December 5, 201114 yr ^Name me a team that can make a comeback against those 3 teams? Again, not completely my point. Broncos win = all heil Tebow. Broncos lose = the team didn't play that well? Not Tebow's fault?
December 5, 201114 yr ^Since when? I've never said it's all Tebow. His defense and running game have been huge, but they're the same D and running game that sucked with Orton as QB. Facts are facts. The defense and running games have both improved immensely since Tebow took over. I don't think it's a coincidence.
December 5, 201114 yr I'm just enjoying the show. All I can say for sure is that, to date, the guy simply wins football games as a starting QB. Why bother trying to figure him out? We've never seen anything like this. A guy who at times looks like the worst QB in the league, yet finds a way to win no matter what. If the defense plays well and gives up 10 points, Tebow will find a way to score 11. If the defense struggles and allows 30, he'll score 31. He's fun to watch and is providing the NFL with a great story. And don't look now, but Tebow has the Broncos in first place in the AFC West. 6-1 as the starter. Pretty incredible. I hope he can keep it going. I'm loving this. Yep. Those are three of the best teams in the NFL...combined 30-8. And one of the losses came from within the trio (Packers over Saints). What he has proven, at least for 7 games, is that he does have the ability to be a starting NFL quarterback. I'm basically with you guys. People have such strong opinions about him and his play they'll jump through hoops to tear him down or exalt him. But at the end of the day, he's done a lot of things well enough to win games and put his team back in playoff contention. And frankly, outside of Rodgers, Brady, and Brees there are a bunch of mid-level quarterbacks and a bunch of awful quarterbacks. Tebow's not in elite company, but he's not in awful company either.
December 5, 201114 yr Again, not completely my point. Broncos win = all heil Tebow. Broncos lose = the team didn't play that well? Not Tebow's fault? So you got that from the one loss they have had since he took over?
