stinkyboy II
Holmes comes away with the victory tonight in Covington. Bolden, Potter, and Covington all played for the Dogs. It had been speculated that one or more of these boys would be playing up, but they were all three needed tonihgt to defeat the Birds. Jenson Feggins had a monster game for the Birds. He finished with 27 points and 9 rebounds.
GandW4life
Looks like the Bulldogs are going to be a tough out at the freshman level. Holmes plays Brossart Saturday at 5pm at Brossart. Brossart may have their hands full. Should be a good test to see where Brossart stands with what appears to be a top team in the 9th

stinkyboy II
He was #85 on the football roster, the tall receiver. He is about 6'2" and has very soft hands. HHS did a nice job of penetrating and laying the ball off in the lane to Jenson. He handled each pass and finished. He must have been 13 for 15 from the field, and 9 boards to boot. Impressive numbers made even more impressive by the fact that he was guarded by Potter or Covington the whole game.
Qryche11
Feggins has definitely benefitted from playing with the upperclassmen the last month as have all the Frosh. I expect the Birds to have a pretty good year.

stinkyboy II
Isn't Bolden the kid we heard was going to play varsity? Yes, he is ultra quick and a nice player. He is about 5'9" and maybe 130#. HHS didn't have anyone to match up with his quickness, especially since Harrett was in foul trouble and sat most of the 1st half. He will be very good but not physically ready for varsity action.

stinkyboy II
Who did the Birds start? Weyer, Hoge, Feggins, Herret and ? Weyer, Harris, Harrett, Feggins, and Hall. Hoge is not playing basketball this season. Birds left scrambling for a point guard at this level due to his late decision not to play.
Qryche11
Any chance they move some 8th graders up to play Frosh? Big boys Ben Weyer and Autin Hergott and Jared Daugherty?
Walter
Surprised Bolden is playing frosh. He played jv for Holmes the other night against Scott. Kid is indeed VERY FAST. HE will be tough to handle over the next 4 years.
JC43
Holmes could move up several 8th graders as well. Their 8th grade is stacked with talent, size and speed.

HE will be tough to handle over the next 4 years. If James Bolden is moved up to play JV and Varsity and does not play any freshmen at Holmes, they will struggle against the better teams. They do not have a ball handler / point guard type to replace him. Does this play into the decision by the Holmes coaching staff as to what level he competes? Should this play into the decision?
