Personally, I like Gingrich and would much prefer him over Obama. However, I'm a bit confused as to why Newt would be seen as a Tea-Party champion. After all, he did make big bucks convincing conservatives to support big-government policies that profited his clients.

Still, I'd much rater see him as the POTUS.

Thanks, Birdsfan. I don't know why the video showed up for me but not others.

I take it you all agree with Newt, even our left leaning members.

What's his point besides gross generalizations that have nothing to do with anything?

^ His point was the he wanted to coddle up next to the Tea Party to get their support in the election, despite not being the type of candidate the Tea Party typically likes. Other than that, I assume he was just droning on about the "Occupy" protests and their coverage by the news because no Republican ever lost a primary by railing against the news media.

You mean like the gross generalizations that were made about the Tea Party?

You think the violence that has happened in OWS is just a generalization?

On your second yes, tell that to the victims. Especially where rape was involved.

You asked if violence is just a generalization. It is because it's the a very small %. By your logic I would say racism is a fair generalization of the Tea Party. That would seem to be unfair.

Totally disagree. There is no comparison between the two. There has been too many incidents of, as another poster put it in another thread, deaths, rapes, drug trafficking, destruction of property, terrorist threatening, overt threats to children at the OWS protests.

It's a very small % of the total number of people who support OWS just like it's a very small % of people who support TP that do not support the few folks who show their backside.

How many of each of those things has there been?

A LOT more than there are cops spraying pepper spray in their face for no reason....

I would say the big difference between the two is the Tea Party is a protest led by the gang from the Senior Center and Occupy is a protest by the college drop outs. They tend to run a protest differently. :D
