Inexcusable loss, but not having one of the SEC's elite big men (Ezeli) hampered Vandy.

 

In reality, it wasn't that bad of a loss. Cleveland State was 27-9 and won a game or two in the post-season NIT last year. I'm pretty sure they returned most, if not all, of their key players.

 

Obviously, Vandy should not have lost to them at home, but Cleveland State was probably in the upper level of mid major opponents.

 

I'm always skeptical of any SEC teams that come into the season with a lot of hype, with the exception of UK. It seems like the rest never deliver when they're hyped.
