Yeah, this game was 21-14 at half time..

The Breds give up WAY TOO MANY passing yards, looks like the defenders give the receivers a 10 yard cushion all the time. The first half was terrible, if they play like that against Holy Cross or Beechwood they get beat. Now if they can play a whole game like the second half, then HC, Beechwood, & anyone in 2A are going to get their feelings hurt.

So can someone explain to me why the roughing the passer penalty against NC on Newports long TD pass was assessed on the ensuing kick off? That was not a dead ball foul, so should that not have been an accept or decline penalty.

 

Gotta give credit to Newport. Those kids never gave up.

My guess (key word) is that in high school all unsportsmanlike type penalties are going to be enforced even if the team that suffered scores a TD.

Kinda like when I heard the CC / Ryle score I guess..lol

I am still a little confused on this because I did not know you got rewarded with both! I thought if you decline, the TD stands, If you accept, then there is no TD and the penalty is marked off. An official ruling would be nice on this one.

What I love about this staff is that they can go in at half time and see where they can exploit a team and drive the nail right there. Great staff, great communication, good team equals 8&0
