Campbell jumped out 24 to zip at the half. Campbell threw the ball pretty well and I really liked Sauerbeck (please help me with the correct spelling) at LB for Campbell.

 

Boone decided they were going to play football in the second half like they did in the 4th quarter against Highlands and then it was the Men vs. The Boys and 26 straight for Boone.

 

In short, Boone's major issue is they are never ready to play to start the game. Sometimes they get it going later in the game and sometimes they don't. If Boone can come ready to play from the first whistle they are the best team, if not, nearly every team in NKY can beat them.

There's another Sauerbeck coming through? Ol' Steve has to like that.

I echo what the Guru is saying. The Camels looked great in the first half and their QB threw the ball as well as any I've seen at the Frosh level. I couldn't believe that they had just two wins this year. I don't know what Coach Floyd says to the Rebels at halftime but someone needs to get a patent on it! The Rebels look like they they've never practiced together in the first half, Coach Floyd then waves a magic wand and they turn into the 1985 Chicago Bears the 2nd half! I'm glad they find a way to win but they're giving me a ulcer!

Thumbs up to the Camels kicker who nailed a 41 yard FG that may have been good from 50!

You mean 3 (Matt, Brian, Joe) and now the youngest Nick. A lot of people in Campbell Co and I think his brothers would agree, he possibly could be the best Sauerbeck out of the 4.

Congrats to the Rebels on a great come-from-behind win. They could have rolled over but they took charge in the 2nd half on the back of the RB (#26) Floyd. He is a workhorse with lightning speed.

 

The Camels were a tale of two halves. Unbreatable in the first. Didn't finish in the second. I thought the turning point was the strip of the ball from Camel QB Spicer as they were driving and recovered by the Rebels. Not his fault as he never saw it coming. Preston Spicer threw good passes throughout the contest. He had a few tosses on the money that should have been caught.

 

The Camels are much better than their record indicates and they continue improving each week!

Great freshmen game. Wonder Coach Floyd said at halftime. Whatever was said surely worked.
