Rockcastle County 22 Perry County Central 0

Featured Replies

Final from Hazard, Ky.

Rock (6-0) remains undefeated both in this season and against the Commodores (5-1).

Rock is now 7-0 all-time against the Commodores with the previous six meetings going as followed:

Oct 20, 2006 Rock 48 PCC 8

Oct 21, 2005 Rock 48 PCC 7

Oct 22, 2004 Rock 39 PCC 12

Oct 23, 2003 Rock 43 PCC 19

Oct 11, 2002 Rock 54 PCC 0

Oct 5, 2001 Rock 76 PCC 0

The most impressive part of the night is that Rockcastle County won without Clark Rowe, who sat out with a shoulder injury.

Chris Luna had 26 carries for 108 yards for the Rockets, who had a total of 223 yards on the ground.

Cory McPhetridge was 6-8-1 for 72 yards for Rockcastle.

Sorry but there are no stats for the Commodores.

Big game next week for Rockcastle as they open district play against another undefeated in Russell County.

Wow, good win for the Rock on the road. The Rock is a much improved team from the last couple of years.

Yeah this score surprises me a little bit. That is quality win for the rock.

Now I am prepared to put Rockcastle County in the top 10 of Class 4A. Good win.

I'm proud of our boys and the way they kept intensity during the entire game. Sometimes this group can lose focus, but, not tonight. Another tough unfamiliar, undefeated foe in next weeks district game against Russell County. We'll see. Tonights win did make for a much more pleasurable trip home than the alternative.

#24 who plays linebacker for Perry Central is a flat out tackling machine. Their coach said he has not got a lot of attention from colleges. Best defensive player the Rock has seen, would be a good player at OVC level without a doubt. This was just a game dominated by Rocks line and Perry was undoubtedly hurt by the damp field. Perry Central has a lot of weapons they just didn't get them out of the holster tonight. By the way Papagrit's sons are 2 of our lineman who go both ways and they really blocked well on offense and brought the hammer on defense. Russell County will be another stern test for Rock with Clark Rowe sidelined but hopefully the rest of the team will step up like tonight.

I thought #28 Bradley played really well for the Rockets. He had a bunch of tackles and ran the ball really hard. Hope he can keep in up next week!!

what a great win for rockcastle. If they can knock off Russell next week I am offically saying they are back. Right now they are without question a Top 10 team. Good job I am very impressed with this win especially without their best RB.

Me too. They are rolling again. Russell Co has a very good team as well.

#24 is Matt Robinson. He had 28 tackles in this game.

Conj: to Coach Parkey and the Rockets. Keep up the good work. I'm proud of the Rock also, good to see them BACK!!!!

PCC will rebound from this loss....Coaches Haddix and Moore will find a way to bring this team back!!
