SK back to SK.

 

In order for SK to be back to the old SK, it will take far more than one mediocre season. They will need many consecutive losing seasons, with a few of them winless. That would be the old SK. They may get "knocked" for not being "x", "trinity" or any other state championship winning program, but keeping things in perspective, it is incredible the turn around that has happened at SK. Quite honestly, like Marksberry or not, he is the only coach out of all the coaches through the seventies, eighties and nineties to stick with it through very tough times, get kids to commit and begin believing, and successfully turn things around after a whole lot of losing.

So when they win it is the talent and when they lose it is coaching?

 

Correct I have never been a fan of the coach! It seems he is all about his self and not the team. He was screaming at his players when they kicked a onside kick with plenty of time left he should have had a mirror and screamed at his self.

They will be fine next year after Kuntz has a season under his belt at QB and lead the team.

They win despite their coaching staff..

 

A team with a bad coaching staff does not beat Highlands, which is what you ignorantly infer when you say Ryle wins despite their coaching staff. For once, I agree with UK#1.

I still remember the day that coach Lucas announced he was leaving SK and then Coach Marksberry being introduced as the new coach. He's done things as sk's head coach that 15 years ago people would have bet their house on not happening in Independence. This team just doesn't have as much talent as recent years, doesn't mean the coach is completely to blame.
