Good question....the Tigers lose 50% of what little offense they have if Mattingly is out.....OUCH!!

I'm so proud of our boys last night. Yes, they came out slow, but they never gave up. The team, along with our crowd was more fired up than I have ever seen. Not making excuses of any kind, but not having Ryan Oliver in there tonight and along with a few calls that definitely did not go our way - two late hits and then saying we fumbled on the 1 when his knee was down - this game could have gone the other way. Again, I'm not making excuses, just some officiating that definitely went their way. Moeller has some very big boys and they are a very good football team. Alex Mattingly did a great job tonight and we just pray that he is ok. He is a great QB and plays with his heart during every game.

 

Everyone says St X may be down this year, but I wouldn't want my son playing anywhere else.

X cannot lose to Central next week. Being 2-4 headed into Trinity game would not be pretty especially with Trinity, Manual, and Cincinnati St. X left.

Yes he is. Not having Ryan Oliver was a tremendous loss. He isn't the only X player that was missed from that game.

These losses are only helping young X mature for the playoffs. I don't know what the score will be september 30, but I do know X will fight until the clock hits 0 and they won't hand them the game like last year. This X squad has ressiliant character, a lot of pride, more discpline than last year, and the will to win. They haven't pulled out the close games yet because of lack of experience, but they will be ready Sept. 30. They had the game 14-10 in the third with 5 min to go, poor tackling, and poor calls lost this game. It was a great battle though.

X grew up on Friday. The game could not have started out worse. Down 14-0 with time still remaining in Q1. they sucked it up and held on and made the second half into a game. the score is not an indicator of how close this game was to going the other way.

 

without Mattingly on Friday, the Central game will be closer than it should be.

 

Oliver will be back (had Strep). He is by far X's best DB and could have made a huge difference against Moeller and that stud receiver.

 

Mattingly's MRI on his ankle came back negative, which is a great sign.

I think at best X will be 5-0. At worst X will be 2-3, with losses to Trinity, Manual, and Cincy X. But i believe X will fight hard in everygame left on their schedule, especially Sept. 30
