Corbin hosts the Creekers after a couple of close losses to start the season. Thoughts on this one?

If the Corbin defense can force Tates Creek into sustaining drives to score their points, I look for the Hounds to prevail 21-13.

I don't see Corbin winning either. 28-7 Tates Creek

Corbin has better come out like a wounded tiger Friday, next week may be a better opponent when they square off against Danville.

I have seen Corbin play. They have home field advantage...will it be enough? TC is not as strong as they have been in past years, or haven't shown it yet this season. This one could go either way.

Corbin has a killer schedule. 0-3 with a 26-6 loss to TC.

I heard that he is done? TC is down so the hounds have a shot at getting the first W of 2011.

Frederick is out for the season, tough blow for him and for Corbin. His experience and athleticism cannot be replaced, I really believe that Corbin would have won at least one of their games if he could have played. Some freshman and sophomores have been getting a baptism under fire on the defensive side, although it will make them better players in the long run.

I hate to hear any kid getting injured, especially season ending. Best wishes to the young-man!

I know it fell on this weekend the last few years, and I saw no trace of it anywhere on the schedule and no evidence on any older BGP threads as to where it went. It's a shame if it's gone, because it was as well-run as any bowl I've been to.

The Redhound Varsity Club, which runs the bowl game, thought that Whitley Co. was going to play Corbin in it, but they wanted Corbin to agree to play them at Whitley. The person in charge thought that it could be worked out, but Coach Jewell would not commit to play the Colonels at their place, so Whitley would not sign to play in the bowl. It was strung out so long that it was too late to sign someone else.

 

It is suppose to be back on for next year.
