When was the last time Danville won in 2007?

It has been way too long, maybe with the talent Danville has for the next few years, they can win some of the mathcups.

Well I'm glad it will be at Danville this year, because if it rains the Ads won't have to skate around like last year on the artificial surface.:eek:

 

Yeah, that was the problem.....pretty sure both teams played on the same surface.

The team that makes the least mistakes wins this one.

 

That nearly killed Danville against Garrard last week. I would imagine if they put it on the ground a couple times against Boyle then the Ads will lose. But this should be a great game.

Against Garrard? I think they had 4 fumbles and lost 2 of them.

If I'm not mistaken this is the 50th game in the series that began in 1965. (I believe they met 3 times in the AA playoffs)

 

I think I saw somewhere that the series record is 32-16-1 in favor of Danville.

 

Rebels have won 11 of the last 15.

 

Danville won 19 in a row from '80 to '96. In all honesty the games from '81 to '84 were competitive but it was "blowout city" for the Ads every year after in the streak until around '95.

 

As a sidebar, it's the 100th year of football for the Admirals.

Danville by 6. This may be one of the most evenly matched games we have seen over the past few seasons.

Yeah, that was the problem.....pretty sure both teams played on the same surface.

I know BCHS was the better team last year but I like Danville on a good surface they can sink there cleets in. I'll guarantee you they would be faster at home if its just a little wet. Of course if it is really wet any surface woud be slick. I think it will be dry friday night, if Danville can open some holes maybe they can show their speed. ( And hold on to the ball).

* That '79 win was crazy. Danville lost it on a last play 35 yard bomb from C.T. Wolfe to Tim Warren in the back of the end zone. Crazy ending. :thumb:

 

* I remember pulling off the upset over Chris Jones when I was a freshman. Boyle HAD to win to have enough points to become District Champions (Dickinson system) over Somerset and go to the playoffs. Boyle laid their hearts on the field to hold the Ads out of the end zone at the end of the game and come away with a 14-7 win over what I think (memory again) was that week the #1 AP poll ranked team in AAA.

One of the best and worst nights of my young life Rebel. Would have given anything just to have had the chance to go at least one more week with that team.
