I went around and around with another BGP member a few seasons ago about this same exact thing. I think he must have some sort of an epiphany since then, as he walked away, and is now stating he wished the team would pack up and go. I myself had season tickets in the late 80's. Now talk about having fun. I guess I was spoiled watching those teams, and just don't think it's a big blast to spend ton's of money and waste entire Sunday afternoons watching bad football. I do really wish something would change and we had championship caliber football in Cincinnati.

I understand why some of you all will feel this way, and at least you did get to experience some success watching them. I was 2 years old when they went to the Super Bowl with Boomer. So obviously it's not like I got to enjoy that team. So I see why it would be harder to watch, since you did experience them having some success. However that is the whole reason why I am a Palmer supporter and was not on the bandwagon to get rid of him. Since I have followed the team I have seen them bring in tons of QB's, all of tehm who did nothing to really help them win except Boomer when he came back. Yet then Mike Brown let him walk and join Monday Night Football. Then we got the whole Neil Odonnel, Scott Mitchell, Akili Smith, etc experience. Under Mike Brown this team has made HORRIBLE decisions on QB's. The Bengals finally had a QB in Palmer who they could win with despite how poorly this organization is ran. Yet when he ended up not being like a Manning, or a Brady like we thought he could end up being. People decide well he sucks, and fail to see that he is a QB they could win with. Other franchises apparently see that and wanted him, but our own fans don't see it. Our fans want a Peyton Manning, Brady type QB and that is just not going to happen. If Peyton Manning was here, he wouldn't be as good as he is. Shoot he might not have even came close if he was drafted into this organization. Yet for some reason people thought the Bengals could go out and get better than Palmer? He is not an elite QB, but he was someone they could win with and knew how to beat teams in the division. I know the Ravens are probably thrilled that he is gone, because they always had hard time beating the Bengals with him. The whole negativity in this town in all sports drives me nuts, especially how once anyone struggles they want that person gone. I know Carson left on his own, which just says something about how poorly this organization is run. However the fact that people wanted him gone, and trusted Mike Brown to find better kills me. We had a QB that we could win games with, even though he was not a Manning, Brady, etc. type QB that everyone would want. We will never have that here because how this organization is run.

Which gets back to this whole topic about going to games. This whole Palmer thing could lead me to the direction of thinking like you all. Because if Dalton ends up not working out, then we really could be back to the 90's and just being completely non competitive and pitiful to watch. Last year was nothing compared to what it could get to.

I have a suggestion for Bengal front office folk. I think this move, and maybe moves of this sort are what the Bengal's need to start considering vs. trying to build their team thru the draft. Seriously, their draft history is nothing short of Rosanne Barr/National Anthem-ish. Why not donate your 3rd rounder for a proven guy from another roster that seems expendable by another franchise. Look how the Pats have improved their roster over the past few seasons with virtually middle of the road draft picks in trade. Anyone else think this could be profitable for them?

Some success? If you consider going 10-0 at home with two wins being playoff games, and going to the Super Bowl, as some success, how would you classify the past two decades? If what I saw was "some success" then what you're spending your dime on is an utter disaster.
