Boyd County loses two coaches...

Featured Replies

I don't think they've lost them. Garry McPeek has coached Indoor Football in Lexington (I believe) for the last couple of seasons.

I know but only as an assistant, now he is Head Coach, which would seem to be almost like an office position along with football duties. I personally can't wait until Garry brings his team to Troy, Ohio which is not very far from me about 35 minutes away. I will make the short trip to go see him.

BTW, if Coach McPeek is reading this, sorry for beating you in fantasy this week but I needed this weeks win to keep my playoff hopes alive. :D

I think Boyd could find someone to replace them, i mean it looks like they have 20 or some coaches on the sideline!

According to Coach McPeek tryouts will be held December 17th at Veterans Memorial Fieldhouse in Huntington. 8 am for kickers, 10 am for lineman, and 1 PM for skill players.

How did that double duty work out for the Lexington Horsemen's head coach?

The horsemans head coach just one the 3a state title I would say it worked well.

Bingo.

Boyd County has lost two coaches, Garry McPeek and Nate McPeek have taken a job with a new Indoor Football team in Huntington, WV. Now I guess they could still coach High School but it would a huge strain on both.
