I read it in the newspaper the other day. I also read it on here to. They have just over 40 players add in injuries that means playing both ways.

Smaller schools usually do have players go both ways out of necessity. With all those injuries and players going both ways, Beechwood shouldn't stand a chance against 6A SK on the 26th, right?

Good answer!

Is Goshen in Ohio? Are they a small school? Are they any good?

Their in OH, near Milford decent sized school bigger than Beechwood I would have to say.

Goshen is about twice the size of Beechwood. Goshen has around 800 students in grades 9-12.

True, but I bet Beechwood has a bigger drawing area! Oh those independent school systems.:thumb:

Simon Kenton can draw from the same area and is easier to get into than Beechwood.

Beechwood names the score! Too strong and fast!

Simon can't get kids from Boone Co. Has Beechwood taken any kids out of Union or Boone Co., I'd say many over the years. Not that big of a deal. Like I said, good to be the independents!

Why can't SK get kids out of Boone County? I know Boone County chooses not to release their state money. Which makes no sense because their schools are overcrowded and they don't get the money from the state either if a resident student chooses to go to another school. Has Kenton County said they will not take Boone County kids because of that? Most schools will still allow those students in but charge them higher tuition. For example, Newport will not release their state money so if a student in Newport wants to go to Highlands, they pay around $2,000 more in tuition than students from districts that will release the state money.

Yep, many were turned away this year which included several athletes from what I understand.

Don't let the facts get in the way. Simon Kenton can absolutley get kids from Boone county and any other county they want. Being Independent has nothing to do with accepting tuition students. That notiion has been thoroughly debunked a million times on this board already.

Not really knowing anything about Goshen, I still have to go with the Tigers on this one.

Really? I would like to see these rules. I would be shocked if there were different rules for independents vs County schools for accepting tuition students.

Beechwood draws athletes because of tradition of winning and size, but they also have quite a few tuition students based on academics as well. There are a limited number of tuition spots and they go to the top scorers on the tests --regardless of whether or not they are athletes.
